Sin is failing to do what God commands or doing what He forbids. Millions of Gentiles are being taught that they can indeed ignore the laws that God gave us through the prophets in the Old Testament and still inherit eternal life. This will not happen. The leaders who teach this lie are false and will be personally responsible for every soul led into disobedience and eternal death. The Father only sends to the Son those who, with all their hearts, seek to obey all His holy commandments, just as the apostles and disciples of Jesus obeyed. | “I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” John 17:6.
According to Jesus, John the Baptist was the greatest of all men born of women because his mission was the most noble: to prepare the way for the Messiah. John did not appear out of nowhere; his mission was prophesied in the Old Testament, which is why he was accepted by all. Apart from John, there is no prophecy about any other man with a divine mission. Likewise, Jesus never warned us about someone—whether inside or outside the Bible—whom we should listen to and follow after Him. The doctrine of “unmerited favor” emerged only after Jesus returned to the Father and has no foundation in His words, making it a false doctrine, no matter how old or popular it may be. Obey while you are still alive. | “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
The only way to ensure a spiritually healthy, blessed life—full of protection and peace, with the certainty of rising with Jesus—is by fully obeying God’s laws revealed in the Old Testament and the words of Jesus in the Gospels. Those who live this way continually experience God’s hand guiding, protecting, and blessing their lives. This is not difficult. There may be challenges at first, but when God sees that a person’s decision is sincere and permanent, He straightens the crooked paths until the difficulties disappear. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | “Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!” (Deuteronomy 5:29)
Jesus never taught the absurd idea that anyone who wants to follow Him and be saved cannot seek to obey His Father’s Law. Nor did He ever say that He would obey His Father’s laws in place of the Gentiles—suggesting that while all His relatives, friends, and apostles sought to obey the commandments of the Old Testament, the Gentiles would be too weak to even try and could therefore ignore the Law and still be saved. It is obvious that none of this is true; yet, directly or indirectly, this is what is taught in many churches. Salvation is individual. No Gentile will enter unless they seek to follow the same laws given to Israel—the very laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.” (Luke 16:17)
Everything is possible with God when we seek to obey His commandments exactly as He commanded us through the prophets in the Old Testament and through Jesus. But people prefer to follow the majority, simply because they are many. Unfortunately, when someone knows God’s laws and chooses to ignore them, there can be no true intimacy with the Lord, and He has little interest in blessing such a person. However, this can easily be resolved if they stop following the majority and align themselves with the Lord, seeking to obey His Law. By doing so, the Father will reveal Himself, bless them, and send them to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. The end has already come! Obey while you are still alive. | “All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.” (Psalm 25:10)
The devil is a master of words, using them to achieve his ultimate goal: leading people into disobedience to God. The expression **“unmerited favor,”** commonly used in churches, is one of his masterpieces. In every language, this phrase appears to convey humility before the Lord, but in practice, it leads to the conclusion that salvation is not tied to obedience to the laws of God given through the prophets and to Jesus. As a result, obedience is seen as something extra but not essential. This is a diabolical teaching, with no foundation in the words of Jesus. No Gentile will enter heaven without seeking to follow the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. The end has already come! Obey while you are still alive. | “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)
Anyone, including the apostles, who encourages us to disobey God is being used by the devil, regardless of their popularity in the churches. When Peter tried to convince Jesus to reject His Father’s mission, Jesus referred to him as Satan himself, even though Peter was the apostle to whom He was most attached. The doctrine of “unmerited favor” teaches that if we want to be saved by the Son, we must reject the laws of the Father in the Old Testament. Therefore, just as it happened with Peter, this doctrine also comes from Satan. From Eden to the present, the serpent has sought to lead humanity away from obedience to God. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey God’s Law while you are still alive. | “My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.” (Isaiah 3:12)
To attain salvation in Christ, we as Gentiles must cultivate humility and gratitude. Throughout the centuries, the serpent has sown pride in the churches, promoting the false belief that Christ established a distinct religion for the Gentiles, with its own doctrines and traditions, detached from the laws of Israel. However, this idea has no foundation in the four Gospels. God chose Israel so that through this people, all nations could have access to the Lamb. He offers us the opportunity to be joined to His chosen people, but this requires obedience to the commandments given to Abraham and his descendants. We are not superior to the prophets, apostles, and disciples; our salvation lies in following the same laws they followed. | “The community is to have the same regulations for both you and the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance.” (Numbers 15:15)
God, through the prophets and Jesus, made it clear that the invitation to His Kingdom would extend beyond the Middle East, reaching all nations. However, He also emphasized that His eternal covenant with Israel would never be broken. This means that the idea that Gentiles obtain salvation independently of Israel is incorrect, as it has no support in the prophets or the words of Christ. Our salvation comes by following the same laws that the Father gave to His chosen nation. The Father sees our faith and courage, even in the face of great opposition, unites us with Israel, blesses us, and sends us to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. This plan of salvation makes sense—because it is true. | “This is what the Lord says: He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night… only if these decrees vanish from my sight, declares the Lord, will Israel ever cease to be a nation before me forever.” (Jeremiah 31:35-37)
We believe that Jesus is the Messiah sent by God because He fulfilled the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament. Details about His birth, life, death, and message were foretold, including that He would bear the sins of many. Nowhere in these prophecies does it say that part of His mission was to exempt Gentiles from obeying the laws given to Israel. No man, whether inside or outside the Bible, has been granted the authority to change even a single letter of God’s eternal Law. This is the greatest test of faithfulness in your life: will you follow the prophets and Jesus, or will you follow those who came after Him? | “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” (Luke 8:21)
