According to history, after Christ’s ascension, several apostles obeyed the Great Commission and took the gospel that Jesus taught to the Gentile nations. Thomas went to India, Barnabas and Paul to Macedonia, Greece, and Rome, Andrew to Russia and Scandinavia, Matthias to Ethiopia, and the good news spread. The message they were to preach was the same one taught by Jesus, focused on the Father: to believe and obey—believe that Jesus came from the Father and obey the Father’s laws. The Holy Spirit would remind them of what Jesus had taught. Jesus did not establish a new religion for the Gentiles. No Gentile will enter unless they seek to follow the same laws given to Israel—the very laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “I will also bless the foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord… and who hold fast to my covenant. I will bring them to my holy mountain.” (Isaiah 56:6-7)
