In the churches, many are surprised by Israel’s disobedience and that of its kings, as well as the severe punishments they received from God throughout their history. However, they read these passages as outsiders, forgetting that they claim to worship the same God of Israel. False doctrines have led them to believe that because Jesus came into the world, the God who once required faithfulness to His commandments no longer does. The sad reality, however, is that these doctrines have no foundation in the words of Jesus in the four Gospels. No Gentile will enter unless they seek to follow the same laws given to Israel—the very laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “You have ordained your commandments, that we should keep them diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
