Whenever we read in the four Gospels that one must believe in Jesus to be saved, the listeners were Jews who were already following the laws of God given through the prophets of the Old Testament. They were circumcised, kept the Sabbath, wore tzitzit, maintained their beards, and refrained from eating unclean foods. What they lacked was faith that Jesus was the Messiah sent by the Father. At no point did Jesus teach that by believing in Him, a person could disobey the holy laws of His Father and still inherit eternal life. This false doctrine was created by men, inspired by the serpent. No Gentile will be taken to heaven without seeking to follow the same laws that Jesus and His apostles observed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44
