If God does not consider people’s merit to bring them to heaven, what is His criterion? To whom is the blood of Christ applied, if not to the souls who have sacrificed the pleasures of the world to follow Him? Isn’t that what Jesus commanded us? That we should lose our lives in this world to find them in heaven? The doctrine of “unmerited favor” has not a single drop of support in the words of Jesus and is therefore false, even if it is ancient and popular. This heresy comes from men inspired by the serpent, with the intent of convincing the Gentiles to disobey the laws of God given through His prophets in the Old Testament and through Jesus. Since Eden, this has been Satan’s focus. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “You have ordained your commandments, that we should keep them diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
