Daily Devotional: For I know the plans I have for you, says…

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord; plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a good future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Seek, in the presence of God, to know yourself. Only before Him can we clearly see who we truly are and what we still lack. Then, ask yourself: Why did God send me into the world? Have I become what He desires me to be? Am I living according to His will, or are there still adjustments I need to make? The answer to these questions does not come from the opinions of men, but from the revelation God has already given us in His holy and perfect Law. If we want to please Him and be approved by Him, we must submit ourselves entirely to His will.

Say to the Lord sincerely: “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God” (Psalm 143:10). If this is the prayer of your heart, He will answer with clarity and power: “Do not fear; obey my commandments and I will be with you.” Obedience to God is not only a duty, but the path to true peace. He will guide your soul, set your feet on the right path, and lead you beyond human limitations. You will stop living in search of praise, earthly recognition, or things that fade the moment they are achieved. Instead, God will open your vision to something infinitely greater and eternal.

Those who choose to obey the Lord experience the very best in Him. Even before attaining eternal life in Christ Jesus, they receive a glimpse of His glory, His happiness, and His love, which are imperishable, unshakable, and inexhaustible. All goodness, all peace, all true joy are reserved for those who surrender to the will of God. Therefore, if you wish to live under the divine blessing, obey with all your heart, for He will never fail to honor those who walk in His ways. -Adapted from Edward B. Pusey. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that only in Your presence can I know myself and clearly see what I still lack. I know that my life must be lived according to Your will, and not based on human opinions or fleeting desires. I want to become what You have planned for me, faithfully obeying Your holy Law. Teach me to walk in Your truth.

My Father, today I ask You to guide my steps and shape my heart so that I may obey with sincerity and joy. I know that true peace is not found in seeking recognition or achieving earthly goals, but in living fully submitted to You. Lead me beyond my limitations, open my vision to Your eternal purposes, and strengthen my faith so that I may trust without hesitation in what You have already revealed in Your Word.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because in You is all goodness, all peace, and all true joy. Thank You because You never fail to honor those who walk in obedience to Your ways. I know that the fullness of Your promise is yet to come, but even now I can experience Your glory and Your love. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law walks beside me at all times. Each of Your commandments is proof of Your infinite wisdom and Your desire to see me prosper. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
