Daily Devotional: We trust in God, who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1:9)

“We trust in God, who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9).

Difficult situations have a special power: they awaken us. The pressure of trials strips away the excess, cuts out what is unnecessary, and helps us see life more clearly. Suddenly, what seemed guaranteed reveals itself to be fragile, and we begin to value what truly matters. Each trial becomes a chance to start over, an opportunity to draw closer to God and live with greater purpose. It is as if He is telling us: “Wake up! Time is short. I have something better for you.”

Nothing we face is by chance. God allows us to go through struggles not to destroy us, but to refine us and remind us that this life is only a passage. But He has not left us without direction. Through His prophets and His Son, Jesus, He has given us His powerful Law—a perfect manual on how to live in this fleeting world so that we may live eternally with Him. The problem is that many choose to follow the pressure of the world, but those who decide to obey the Father’s amazing commandments experience something extraordinary: the real closeness of God Himself.

When we choose to live in obedience, God moves toward us. He sees our firm decision, our true surrender, and responds with blessings, guidance, and peace. He sends us to the Son—the only one who can forgive and save. This is the plan: obedience that leads to presence, presence that leads to salvation. And it all begins when, even in the midst of pain, we choose to say: “Father, I will follow Your Law. No matter the cost.” -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for the trials that awaken me to what truly matters. Each difficulty has helped me see life more clearly and seek Your presence more deeply. I do not want to waste my pain with complaints, but use it as steps toward spiritual maturity.

Father, I know that life here is short, and so I decide to live according to Your eternal instructions, given by Your prophets and by Jesus, Your beloved Son. I want to walk according to Your powerful Law, even if it goes against the opinion of the world. Give me courage to obey Your amazing commandments with faithfulness, even when it is hard, because I know that is what attracts Your favor and Your presence.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You because You are faithful at all times, and good to those who obey You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is a torch that never goes out in the dark night, showing the safe path to those who desire eternal life. Your commandments are like incorruptible jewels, full of glory and power, adorning the soul of those who truly love You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord…

“And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord” (Numbers 11:1).

There is a profound beauty in a heart that surrenders to God with joy and gratitude, even in the midst of afflictions. When we choose to endure with faith everything the Lord allows, we become participants in something much greater than ourselves. Spiritual maturity is not about avoiding suffering, but about knowing how to face it with humility, trusting that there is purpose in every trial. And the man who, with all the strength God gives him, commits himself to faithfully fulfilling the holy will of the Lord, lives honorably before heaven.

It is common for us to seek comfort by telling everyone around us about our pains. But wisdom lies in bringing everything only to the Lord — with humility, without demands, without rebellion. And even in our prayers, we must adjust our focus. Instead of crying out only for relief, we should ask God to teach us to obey, to strengthen us to follow His mighty Law with faithfulness. This request, if sincere, changes everything. Because obedience to the magnificent commandments of God not only solves the problem — it heals the root, restores the soul, and establishes a peace that the world cannot give.

He who decides to live this way finds something glorious: friendship with God. Just as it happened with Abraham, the one who obeys, the one who surrenders completely to the will of the Most High, is received as a friend. There is no greater title, no more sublime reward. The peace that is born from this friendship does not depend on circumstances. It is firm, lasting, eternal — a direct fruit of a life shaped by obedience to the holy, perfect, and eternal Law of God. -Adapted from John Tauler. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Eternal Father, I thank You for the opportunity to surrender my life entirely to You, even in the midst of afflictions. I do not want to run away from what You have appointed for me, but rather to endure with joy and gratitude, trusting that all things work together for the good of those who love and obey You. Give me, Lord, the strength that comes from above to fulfill Your will in every detail of my life.

Lord, today I decide to stop focusing only on my difficulties. I want, in my prayers, to seek something greater: understanding, wisdom, and strength to obey Your mighty Law with integrity and reverence. May my mouth be silent before men, and may my heart open before You with humility and faith. Teach me to walk according to Your magnificent commandments, for I know that this is the only path to true peace.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being faithful to those who seek You sincerely. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is like a divine seal upon those who love You, granting them rest even in the midst of storms. Your commandments are like golden keys that open the doors of friendship with You and of the peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will do it all…”

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will do it all.” (Psalm 37:5).

Surrendering to God’s will is not just patiently waiting for something to happen—it is much more than that. It is looking at everything He allows with a heart full of wonder and gratitude. It is not enough to simply endure difficult days; we need to learn to recognize the hand of the Lord in every detail, even when He leads us down unexpected paths. True surrender is not silent and resigned, but full of trust and gratitude, because we know that everything that comes from God first passes through His wisdom and His love.

But there is something even deeper in this surrender: to accept with faith and humility the holy instructions that God Himself has given us—His magnificent commandments. The central point of our surrender is to accept not only the events of life, but to accept living according to the powerful Law of God. When we recognize that this Law is perfect and was given with love by the prophets and confirmed by Jesus Himself, we are left with no other attitude but reverent obedience. It is at this point that the soul finds true rest—when it decides to obey in everything, and no longer just in part.

God is long-suffering, full of patience, and kindly waits for the moment when we surrender ourselves completely. But He also has a treasure reserved of blessings for the day when we let go of pride and humble ourselves before His holy Law. When that day comes, He draws near, pours out grace, renews the soul, and sends us to His Son for forgiveness and salvation. Obedience is the secret. And true obedience begins when we stop arguing with God and start saying: “Yes, Lord, everything You have commanded is good, and I will follow.” -Adapted from William Law. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Wonderful Father, how liberating it is to know that everything You allow has a purpose. I do not want to merely endure the difficulties of life; I want to receive them with gratitude, knowing that Your loving hand is behind it all. Teach me to trust, to rejoice, and to worship You even on cloudy days, for I know that You are good and faithful at all times.

Lord, I repent for so many times I have resisted Your holy instructions for life. I tried to adapt Your will to mine, but now I understand: the path of blessing is to accept, with joy and reverence, each one of Your magnificent commandments. I want to obey wholeheartedly, with humility and with pleasure, for I know that this is the only way to truly live in peace with You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for guiding all things with wisdom and patience. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a song of justice that echoes in the soul of those who obey You and leads them to true freedom. Your commandments are like heavenly diamonds, pure and unbreakable, that beautify the lives of the faithful. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: say to those with fearful hearts: Be strong, do not…

“say to those with fearful hearts: Be strong, do not fear! Your God will come” (Isaiah 35:4).

How many times do we carry crosses that God Himself never gave us? Anxiety about the future, fear of what may happen, the restlessness that steals our sleep—none of this comes from God. When we try to anticipate events and control what is to come, we are saying, even if not in words, that we do not fully trust in the Lord’s providence. It is as if we were saying: “God, let me take care of this.” But the future does not belong to us. And even if it arrives, it may be completely different from what we imagined. Our attempt at control is useless, and often, the root of this anxiety lies in a lack of true surrender.

But there is a path of rest—and it is accessible. This path is obedience to the powerful Law of God. When we decide to use all our strength to please the Lord, obeying His wonderful commandments from the heart, something changes within us. The presence of God manifests itself with power, and with it comes a peace that cannot be explained. A peace that does not depend on circumstances, a calm that dissolves worries as the sun dissipates the morning mist. This is the reward for those who live faithfully before the Creator.

The soul that chooses to obey no longer needs to live in tension. It knows that the God it serves is in control of all things. Obeying the holy and eternal Law of God not only pleases the Lord, but also places us within the flow of His peace and care. It is a blessed cycle: obedience brings presence, and the presence of God drives out fear. Why continue carrying the weight of tomorrow, if today you can rest in the faithfulness of the God who honors those who obey Him? -Adapted from F. Fénelon. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Father of mercy, how many times have I tried to control what belongs only to You? Forgive me for the sleepless nights, for decisions based on fear, for the restless thoughts that stole the peace You desire to give me. Today I choose to let go of this burden. I no longer want to live trying to predict or control the future. I want to rest in Your care.

Lord, I now understand that anxiety has its root in disobedience. When I turn away from Your wonderful commandments, I disconnect from Your presence, and with that I lose peace. But I choose to return. I want to live in a way that pleases You, obeying Your powerful Law with all my heart. May my soul be anchored in Your Word, firm, calm, and protected.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because in You there is no shadow of turning nor instability. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a shield of light that surrounds the obedient, driving away fear and establishing peace. Your commandments are like golden cords that bind us to Your heart, leading us to true freedom and rest. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Even though I am in darkness, the Lord will be my…

“Even though I am in darkness, the Lord will be my light” (Micah 7:8).

All of us, at some point, need to learn to step out of the center and let God take control. The truth is that we were not created to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. When we try to solve everything with our own strength, we end up frustrated, exhausted, and confused. True surrender begins when we stop trying to understand everything and simply trust. This abandonment of our own will—this complete surrender—is the path that leads us to true peace and union with God.

A large part of the inner restlessness we feel comes from a clear reason: the soul has not yet decided to fully obey the powerful Law of God. As long as there is hesitation, as long as we obey only partially the wonderful commandments of the Creator, the heart will remain divided and insecurity will prevail. Partial obedience generates uncertainty because, deep down, we know we are only approaching God superficially. But when we stop worrying about the opinions of others and choose to obey in everything, God draws near in a powerful way. And with this nearness come courage, rest, blessings, and salvation.

If you wish to experience true peace, real deliverance, and to be led to the Son for forgiveness, then do not delay any longer. Surrender yourself completely. Obey the holy and eternal Law of God with sincerity and firmness. There is no safer path, no purer source of joy and protection. The more you dedicate yourself to faithfully following the holy commandments of God, the closer you will be to His heart. And this closeness changes everything: it changes the course of life, strengthens the soul, and leads to eternal life. -Adapted from James Hinton. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Eternal Father, I recognize that many times I have tried to solve everything on my own, trusting in my strength, my logic, my feelings. But now I understand that true rest only exists when I surrender completely to You. Teach me to give You every part of my life, without reservation, without fear, without attempts at control.

Lord, I repent for not having fully obeyed Your powerful Law. I know that partial obedience has kept me from living in the fullness of Your presence. Today I bow before You and choose to obey You in everything. I no longer want to live a half-hearted faith. I want to follow all Your wonderful commandments with joy and zeal. May my life be marked by faithfulness to what You have established from the beginning.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for being just with the faithful and patient with those who sincerely repent. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a river of holiness that washes the soul and brings life to those who obey You. Your commandments are like pillars of light that uphold the path of truth and guard the feet of those who love You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,…

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

The obedient soul does not depend on circumstances to be secure — it depends on the Lord. When everything around seems uncertain, it remains steadfast because it has turned every situation, good or bad, into an opportunity to throw itself into the arms of God. Faith, trust, and surrender are not just concepts for this soul; they are daily attitudes. And this is what brings true stability: living to please God, no matter the cost. When this surrender is real, there is no crisis capable of shaking the heart that rests in the will of the Father.

This soul, dedicated and focused, does not waste time with distractions or excuses. It lives with the clear purpose of belonging entirely to the Creator. And for this reason, everything works together for its good. Light leads it to praise; darkness leads it to trust. Suffering does not paralyze; it propels. Joy does not deceive; it leads to gratitude. Why? Because it has already understood that everything — absolutely everything — can be used by God to draw it closer to Him, as long as it continues to obey His powerful Law.

If closeness to the Creator is what you desire, then the answer is before you: obey. Not tomorrow. Not when everything is easier. Obey now. The more faithful you are to the Lord’s commandments, the more peace, protection, and guidance you will experience. That is what the Law of God does — it heals, it guards, it leads to salvation. There is no reason to delay. Start today and experience the fruit of obedience: deliverance, blessing, and eternal life in Christ Jesus. -Adapted from William Law. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Father, I thank You because the security of my soul does not depend on what happens around me, but on my obedience to Your will. You are my refuge in times of light and my sustenance in times of darkness. Teach me to turn every moment of my life into a new opportunity to throw myself into Your hands with faith and trust.

Lord, I desire to belong to You completely. May nothing in this world distract me from Your presence, and may my faithfulness to Your Law be constant, even on difficult days. Give me a resolute heart, that sees in Your commandments the safest path. May I not postpone this surrender any longer. May I choose to obey with joy and firmness.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being the anchor of faithful souls. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like an unshakable wall that protects the heart that obeys You. Your commandments are rivers of peace that flow toward eternal life. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Make me to know your ways, Lord; teach me your paths…

“Make me to know your ways, Lord; teach me your paths” (Psalm 25:4).

There is nothing so pure, so striking, as the first whispers of God’s voice to our hearts. It is in these moments that duty is clear—without confusion, without a shadow of doubt. But often, we complicate what is simple. We let feelings, fears, or personal desires get in the way, and with that we lose the clarity of divine direction. We begin to “consider,” “reflect,” “wait a little longer”… when, in truth, we are just looking for an excuse not to obey. Delayed obedience is, in practice, disguised disobedience.

God has not left us in the dark. Since Eden, He has made clear what He expects from His creatures: faithfulness, obedience, holiness. His powerful Law is the manual for true happiness. But the rebellious heart tries to argue, tries to twist the Scriptures, tries to justify error—and wastes time. God is not deceived. He sees the heart. He knows the innermost being. And He does not bless those who refuse to obey. The blessing is upon those who surrender, upon those who say: “Not my will, but Yours, Lord.”

If you want peace, if you wish to be restored and find true purpose, there is only one way: obedience. Do not wait to feel ready, do not wait to understand everything—just begin. Begin to obey, begin to follow the commandments of the Creator with a sincere heart. God will see this willingness and will come to meet you. He will ease your suffering, transform your heart, and send you to His beloved Son for forgiveness and salvation. The time for hesitation is over. The time to obey is now. -Adapted from Frederick William Robertson. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Eternal Father, thank you because You still speak to the hearts of those who sincerely seek You. Your voice is clear to those who desire to obey. I no longer want to rationalize, nor delay what You have already shown me. Give me a humble heart, one that responds promptly to Your direction. Teach me to obey while the calling is still fresh, before my feelings interfere with Your truth.

Lord, I acknowledge that many times I have been dishonest with myself, trying to justify my disobedience with excuses. But today I place myself before You with a broken heart. I want to abandon my will, my pride, and follow Your ways with reverence and love. Guide me in Your Law, strengthen me to fulfill all that You have commanded, and purify me with Your truth.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for being just, holy, and unchanging. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a shining beacon in the darkness, guiding the faithful along paths of life. Your commandments are like solid stones underfoot, sustaining those who trust in You and revealing the way of true peace. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms sustain you…

“The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms sustain you” (Deuteronomy 33:27).

There are moments when all we need is rest—a rest that goes beyond the body, that reaches the soul. And it is in this place that the everlasting arms of God embrace us. There is no more powerful image of divine care than this: arms that never grow weary, never give up, never let go. Even when we face the weight of battles and doubts, He tenderly sustains those who choose to obey. The Lord’s arms are shelter, strength, and life—but only for those who live according to His will.

The promise of rest and care is not for everyone—it is for the faithful. God reveals Himself and pours out His favor on those who keep His commandments. His mighty Law is the fertile ground where His goodness dwells, and outside of it there is only sorrow. When you decide to live according to this Law, even in the midst of difficulties, you show that you depend solely on Him—and this deeply gladdens the Father’s heart. Obedience is the language He understands; it is the covenant He honors.

So, the next time you feel exhausted or lost, remember: there are everlasting arms outstretched for the faithful. These arms not only offer comfort, but also power to go on. God does not sustain the rebellious—He sustains the obedient. He guides and strengthens those who delight in His Law. Obey, trust, and you will see—the peace that comes from the Lord is real, the rest is deep, and the love He pours out on His own is eternal and invincible. -Adapted from Adeline D. T. Whitney. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Beloved Father, how precious it is to know that Your everlasting arms sustain those who obey You. In difficult days, in silent nights, it is Your care that guards me and Your faithfulness that renews me. Thank You for surrounding me with Your presence and for showing that those who keep Your commandments will never be alone. Teach me to rest in You, with a heart firm in obedience.

Lord, renew in me the holy fear that leads to faithfulness. Remove from me all pride and every desire to follow my own ways. I choose to please You. I want to walk in righteousness, because I know that is where Your blessing is manifested. May my life be living proof that following Your Law is the only path to true peace and true salvation.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for being a refuge for the righteous and a Consuming Fire for the rebellious. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is like a wall of justice that protects those who fear You and rejects those who despise You. Your commandments are like fixed stars in the sky: firm, unchanging, and full of glory. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Pray that the Lord your God will show us what we should…

“Pray that the Lord your God will show us what we should do and where we should go” (Jeremiah 42:3).

Happiness is not something achieved through human effort or imposed on others with empty advice. It is a natural consequence of well-made choices—choices that do not always please the moment, but that honor God. Fleeting pleasure may even entice, but it always exacts a high price in the end. Obedience, though it requires self-denial, brings peace, meaning, and above all, divine approval. When we choose to follow God’s voice instead of our impulses, we take a step toward real, lasting, and eternal happiness.

This is where God’s formula comes in: obedience to His powerful Law. It may seem old-fashioned to some, but it is the secret to true happiness. God does not ask us for anything impossible. His commandments are not a burden; they are protection. They are safe paths for sincere souls. What He expects from us is just the first step—the decision to obey. When that step is taken with faith and sincerity, He steps in. He strengthens, encourages, and sustains. God never abandons those who choose the path of obedience.

And the end of this journey? It is glorious. The Father walks with us, blesses us, opens doors, heals wounds, transforms our story, and leads us to the greatest gift: Jesus, our Savior. Nothing compares to the joy of living in covenant with God, fulfilling His commandments with joy and confidence. The formula is within our reach—and it works. Obey, and you will see. -Adapted from George Eliot. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Father, I thank You for not hiding from us the path to true happiness. I know the world offers shortcuts that seem good, but only Your Word is safe. Today, I renounce the fleeting pleasure that draws me away from You and choose to obey You, because I believe that Your will is always best. Teach me to trust in Your formula, even when my heart wavers.

Lord, I acknowledge that I need Your help. Sometimes the desires of the flesh speak louder, but I do not want to live enslaved by them. I want to be free—free to obey, free to please You, free to live in fellowship with You. Create in me a steadfast heart, one that loves You more than it loves its own desires. And may this obedience draw me closer to Your plan and Your presence.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for revealing such a clear path to true happiness. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a heavenly fragrance that purifies the soul and fills life with purpose. Your commandments are like rays of sunshine that warm the heart and illuminate every step in the midst of darkness. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth…

“All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies” (Psalm 25:10).

If God has placed us in a certain place, with certain challenges, it is because He wants to be glorified through our lives right there. Nothing is by chance. Many times we want to run away, change the scenery, wait for everything to be resolved before we obey. But God calls us to obey now, exactly where we are. The place of pain, frustration, struggle—that is the altar where we can offer Him our faithfulness. And when we choose to obey in the midst of adversity, that is where the kingdom of God is manifested with power.

There are people who live in constant discouragement, trapped in cycles of suffering, thinking that all is lost. But the truth is simple and transformative: what is lacking is not strength, money, or recognition. What is lacking is obedience. Obedience to the powerful Law of God—this is the secret of the men and women who made history in the Bible. It was not the absence of struggles, but the presence of faithfulness. When we obey, God acts. When we obey, He changes the course of our story.

You can experience this change today. It is not necessary to understand everything, nor to have everything resolved. It is enough to decide in your heart to obey the commandments of the Lord. Just as it happened with Abraham, Moses, David, John the Baptist, and Mary, God will begin to work in your life. He will set you free, bless you, and above all, send you to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. Obedience is the way. -Adapted from John Hamilton Thom. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I recognize that I do not always understand Your ways, but I trust that everything has a purpose. I know that the place where I am today is not by chance. Therefore, I ask You to help me be faithful and obedient even in difficult situations. May I not waste the opportunities You give me to manifest Your kingdom through my life.

Beloved Father, remove from me all discouragement, all spiritual blindness. Give me an obedient heart, willing to do Your will even when it is hard. I no longer want to walk in circles or live in stagnation. I want to live Your purpose and experience the change that only Your Word can produce.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for being such a wise and merciful Father. Even when I do not understand, You are working for me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a river of justice that purifies, strengthens, and leads to life. Your commandments are paths of light in a world of darkness, perfect guides for those who want to live in You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
