“For the Lord is not unjust to forget your work and the labor of love which you have shown toward His name” (Nehemiah 13:14).
We do not need to keep lists of our good deeds nor try to construct a narrative to prove our devotion. The Lord sees every humble service, every silent gesture, every hidden sacrifice. Nothing escapes His gaze. On the appointed day, everything will be revealed with justice and clarity. This frees us from the anxiety of seeking recognition and invites us to serve with sincerity, knowing that God Himself is the one who writes our story.
This confidence is strengthened when we walk in the magnificent commandments of the Most High. By choosing to obey without seeking applause, we become more like the character of Christ, who lived to please the Father and not men. True service is born from a faithful heart, not from an accounting of works.
Therefore, live to please the Lord and let Him be the narrator of your life. On the day when all is revealed, even the simplest acts will have eternal weight before the throne. Whoever walks in obedience discovers that every detail, no matter how small, becomes a treasure in eternity with Jesus. Adapted from J. R. Miller. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.
Pray with me: Beloved Father, I place myself before You with a heart willing to serve without seeking human recognition. I know that every gesture done in Your name is kept in Your book.
Lord, guide me so that I may live in obedience to Your magnificent commandments, serving with humility and faithfulness, even if no one sees.
Oh, dear God, I thank You because You record every act done with love. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the page on which my life is written. Your commandments are lines of light that eternalize my deeds. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
