Daily Devotional: Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If…

“Do not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).

When we turn away from the world and leave behind its distractions, we are not left in desolation or helplessness, for the Lord receives us with open arms! He is waiting for us, ready to fill the emptiness left by all that we have renounced. As soon as we part ways with old companions and desires, a new and glorious fellowship begins. “I will not leave you as orphans.” What we lose is compensated by an infinite and eternal gain.

We renounce the “world” to gain “the unsearchable riches of Christ.” And these riches are not just future promises; heaven begins here and now, the moment we sacrifice our own will to do the will of God. Every decision to obey the Lord, despite the forces of evil that try to stop us, is a step toward eternal life and full communion with Him.

This firm and courageous choice transforms our life. It is not just an exchange of earthly values for spiritual ones; it is a total surrender that brings peace, joy, and the presence of heaven to our soul. When we trust in the Lord and obey Him faithfully, we find a wealth that the world could never offer—the joy of living in the light of God, now and forever. -Adapted from John Jowett. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Dear God, I thank You for being the refuge that welcomes me when I choose to leave behind the distractions and desires of this world. Teach me to trust that everything I renounce is infinitely compensated by Your presence and communion with You. May my heart always be willing to sacrifice my own will to do Yours, knowing that in You I find fullness and peace.

My Father, today I ask You for strength to resist everything that tries to draw me away from You. Help me to choose Your will in every decision, even when it requires courage and sacrifice. May my life be transformed by the joy of obeying You, recognizing that heaven begins the moment I live in submission to Your will.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being the source of unsearchable riches that the world cannot offer. Thank You for filling the emptiness left by what I leave behind and for leading me into the light of Your presence. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law never leaves me confused. Your commandments are delights to my palate. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart…

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful always” (Colossians 3:15).

Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and allow the violent and stubborn forces of your nature to be calmed, the hardness of your affections to be softened, and your self-will to be subdued. When something contrary rises up within you, immerse yourself in the blessed ocean of meekness and love. God loves the meek, those who are willing to suffer for their brothers and sisters, placing the good of others above themselves.

God also loves the obedient, those who follow His commandments even when their nature inclines toward disobedience. True obedience is not merely an outward act, but a deep desire to honor God above all things, trusting in His wisdom and goodness. These faithful ones, who renounce their own will to do the will of God, find divine favor.

It is these faithful souls whom God loves, guides, blesses, and prepares to be with Jesus. Through meekness and obedience, the heart is shaped into the image of Christ, and life becomes a reflection of the Lord’s love and grace. May our prayer be to live like these faithful ones, submissive to the will of God, confident in His love, and ready to fulfill His calling. -Adapted from Gerhard Tersteegen. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, I ask that Your divine love calm the restless forces within me. Soften the hardness of my heart and subdue my self-will, so that I may live in meekness and put the good of others above my own interests. Teach me to reflect Your love in every action and to trust You in all circumstances.

My Father, today I ask You to shape my heart for true obedience, which is born from a sincere desire to honor You above all. Help me to renounce my own will to follow Your commandments, even when my nature inclines toward disobedience. May my life be an expression of trust in Your wisdom and goodness.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being a Father who loves, guides, and blesses Your faithful children. Thank You for shaping my heart into the image of Christ and for preparing me to live in communion with You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is my faithful friend, always protecting me from crooked paths. Your beautiful commandments never leave my mind. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: On that day, the people will say: This is our God! We trusted…

“On that day, the people will say: This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord, in whom we trusted; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation!” (Isaiah 25:9).

Rise up, O brother, and do not yield an inch of the territory already conquered. Hold firmly to God, even in the face of arguments that try to divert your faith. Do not allow unbelief, with its deceptive strength, to tear you away from your connection to the Lord’s garments and throw you into total darkness. Cling to Him with all your being, no matter the circumstances.

Hold fast to God and to His law, for they are the compass that guides the way to eternal life. His instructions not only show us how to live, but they lead us to eternal fellowship with Him. Do not be deceived by ideas that try to minimize the value of the divine commandments, for they are the foundation of a life aligned with God’s purpose.

The strength of your faith lies in not letting go of God’s hand, even in moments of greatest doubt or trial. It is by trusting in His laws and walking in obedience that you will find security, direction, and the certainty that you are on the path to live with the Father and the Son forever. -Adapted from James Hinton. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, help me not to give in to doubts and arguments that try to draw my faith away from You. Teach me to cling firmly to You and to Your Word, trusting that You are the only sure guide for my life. Strengthen my heart to resist unbelief and keep my steps firm on the path that leads to fellowship with You.

My Father, today I ask You for courage to hold Your hand with all my strength, even when circumstances are challenging. Give me discernment so I will not be deceived by ideas that try to devalue Your Law, and help me to walk in obedience, knowing that Your instructions are my compass for eternal life. May my faith be unshakable, anchored in Your truth.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being my rock and my refuge in times of trial. May my trust in You grow each day, and may I live to glorify You in everything, with security and direction in Your will. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law never leaves me confused. Meditating on Your beautiful commandments is a constant joy. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Lord, have mercy on us; for in you we hope!…

“Lord, have mercy on us; for in you we hope! Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of trouble” (Isaiah 33:2).

The Lord knows how to transform even our failures into steps for our growth. He allows these failures to become opportunities to shape us and move us forward. He remembers—as He did when He created us—that we are dust, the simple dust of the earth that He chose to transform into something “a little lower than the angels.” The Lord understands how fragile we are, how easily we fall into temptation, and He deals with us based on this deep knowledge.

If we are willing to obey His commandments with all our heart, God will help us overcome our weaknesses. He not only forgives our falls, but also strengthens us so that we can rise and continue walking toward Him. His incomparable goodness not only covers our mistakes, but also enables us to live a life in accordance with His will.

However, the key lies in our true and complete willingness to obey. God walks with us to the end, but He requires a surrendered heart, willing to follow Him without reservation. When this surrender happens, His strength supplies our weakness, and we experience the transforming power of His presence every step of the way. –Adapted from A. D. T. Whitney. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, I thank You for Your mercy and patience, which transform even my failures into opportunities for growth. I acknowledge my fragility and my dependence on You, and I cry out for Your help to rise and continue following in Your direction. Shape my heart so that I may be willing to obey You with all my being, trusting that Your strength supplies my weakness.

My Father, today I ask You to help me live in accordance with Your will, even in the face of my limitations. Strengthen me in the areas where I am most fragile, and enable me to walk in obedience, knowing that You not only forgive my falls, but also sustain me to keep going. May my surrender be complete, without reservation, and may Your transforming presence guide me every step of the way.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for being a Father who deeply knows my fragility and yet loves and sustains me. Thank You for Your goodness, which not only covers my mistakes but enables me to live for Your glory. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law never lets me walk aimlessly. Your beautiful commandments are a continual meditation in my mind. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: The end of all things is near. Therefore, be…

“The end of all things is near. Therefore, be sensible and disciplined in your prayers” (1 Peter 4:7).

If Jesus, the mighty Son of God, considered it necessary to rise before dawn to pour out His heart in prayer to the Father, how much more should we seek in prayer the One who is the Giver of every perfect gift and who has promised to provide everything necessary for our good. Prayer was essential for Jesus, and it should be even more so for us, who depend entirely on divine grace and power.

What Jesus gained for His life through His prayers is something we will never be able to fully comprehend. But one thing we know for sure: a life without prayer is a life without power. The same can be said of a life of disobedience to the Lord. A life without prayer and without obedience may be noisy, busy, and even full of activities, but it will be far from Jesus, who devoted days and nights to seeking the Father’s will and obeying it perfectly.

Therefore, if we desire a life filled with purpose, strength, and true fellowship with God, we need to cultivate a life of prayer and obedience. Prayer connects us to the source of all power, and obedience aligns us with the divine will. Only by following Jesus’ example, in devotion and faithfulness, will we find the true path to a full and fruitful life. -Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Dear God, help me to understand the importance of seeking You in prayer with the same devotion and intensity that Jesus demonstrated. Teach me to lift my heart to You daily, trusting that You are the source of every perfect gift and all that I need. May my life be marked by moments of surrender in prayer, where I can find strength and direction to follow Your will.

My Father, today I ask You to help me unite prayer with obedience, living in full harmony with what You expect from me. Deliver me from a busy life that is empty of communion with You. Teach me to seek Your will in all things and to follow the example of Jesus, who obeyed You perfectly in everything.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for being the source of purpose, strength, and abundant life. Thank You for calling me to a life of prayer and obedience that draws me closer to You. As I seek You faithfully, may my life reflect Your power and glory, bearing fruit that honors Your name. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is rooted in my heart. Your beautiful commandments never leave my mind. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Then the Lord turned to him and said: Go in this…

“Then the Lord turned to him and said: Go in this your strength and deliver Israel from the hand of the Midianites; have I not sent you?” (Judges 6:14).

God knows, and you also know, what He has sent you to do. God sent Moses to Egypt to free three million slaves and lead them to the promised land. At first, it seemed he would fail. But did he fail? No. God sent Elijah to confront Ahab, boldly declaring there would be neither dew nor rain. He shut up the heavens for three years and six months. And did Elijah fail? No. Throughout Scripture, there is no record of anyone sent by God to fulfill a task who failed.

God does not send anyone to do His work without knowing that person will obey His commands. Obedience is the foundation for being used by Him. If you live a life of obedience to His will, God will enable you to accomplish what He assigns. Your strength will not come from yourself, but from the Lord Himself, who will qualify and equip you for every task.

Therefore, trust in God and faithfully obey what He commands you. Even if the path seems difficult or impossible, remember that God never fails in His promises. He not only sends you, but also sustains, guides, and empowers you to fulfill the purpose He has established for your life. -Adapted from D. L. Moody. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, help me to trust fully in Your will and Your purpose for my life. Just as You sent Your servants in the past for great tasks, I know You have also appointed me to accomplish something in Your name. Teach me to obey Your commands faithfully, knowing that Your strength will sustain me every step of the way.

My Father, today I ask You for courage and determination to follow the path You have prepared for me, even when it seems difficult or impossible. Give me the confidence that, just as You empowered Moses, Elijah, and so many others, You will also equip me with everything I need to fulfill Your work. May my obedience be the foundation that keeps me firm in Your mission.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being faithful in all Your promises. Thank You for never sending Your servants without also equipping them. May my life be a constant response to Your call, reflecting Your glory and fulfilling the purpose for which I was created. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is my support. Your commandments are sweeter than the sweetest honey. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Ask the Lord your God for a confirming sign…

“Ask the Lord your God for a confirming sign. It can be something difficult, as high as the heavens or as deep as the place of the dead” (Isaiah 7:11).

The characters in the Bible, those who lived exemplary lives, were on a level that is entirely within our reach. The same spiritual forces that were available to them and transformed them into heroes of faith are equally available to us. If we live a life of faithful obedience to God’s Law, with the same faith, hope, and love that they demonstrated, we will be able to accomplish wonders as great as those they performed.

A simple word of prayer on our lips would have the same power to attract divine favor, just as the Spirit of God descended in the form of fire and rain in response to Elijah’s prayer. The secret lies in the faith with which we speak that word. If we speak with the same certainty and conviction that Elijah had when he cried out to God, our prayers can also move mountains and accomplish great deeds.

The difference is not in God, but in our willingness to trust Him fully, obey His laws, and live by faith. The spiritual tools that transformed lives in the past are available to us today. It is up to us to use them with the same determination and faithfulness, knowing that the same God who answered the saints of the past desires to answer our prayers and perform wonders in our lives. -Adapted from Dr. Goulburn. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, help me to understand that the same spiritual forces that sustained the saints of the past are within my reach today. Teach me to live in faithful obedience to Your Law, with faith, hope, and love, so that my life may also reflect Your glory and I may fulfill the purposes You have for me. May my prayer be made with full confidence in Your power and Your faithfulness.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen my faith, so that my words of prayer may be spoken with the same certainty and conviction as Elijah. May I not doubt Your power or Your willingness to act in my life, but may I have the courage to trust in You, knowing that You are the same God who performed wonders in the past and desires to work today.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for being unchanging, faithful, and powerful in all generations. Thank You for making available to me the spiritual tools that transform lives. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful laws are my instructions for life. Each one of Your commandments is more beautiful than the other. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Give me understanding, and I will obey your law; I will keep it with…

“Give me understanding, and I will obey your law; I will keep it with all my heart” (Psalm 119:34).

Any sinful habit terribly distances us from the presence of God. Just a single act of inner disobedience, whether in thought or will, is enough for a cloud to come between Him and us, leaving our hearts dark and joyless. Foolish is the one who chooses to turn away from the only source of true happiness—and even more, of eternal happiness—because of attachment to the fleeting pleasures of this world.

The wise soul, like the psalmist, will break any bond that ties it to sin and will cry out to God, asking Him to teach His precious laws. These laws reveal what God expects from us and guide us on the path of obedience and communion with Him. Knowing and following the divine will is what enlightens the heart and draws us closer to the only One who can fully satisfy our souls.

Only in God do we find true freedom. As we seek to live according to His commandments, we free ourselves from the deceptions and prisons of this world, experiencing the joy of walking in His light. May our daily prayer be to ask the Lord to teach us His ways and strengthen us to follow them with faithfulness and love. –Adapted from Henry Edward Manning. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Dear God, I recognize that any disobedience, no matter how small it may seem, distances me from Your presence and darkens my heart. Help me to break with everything that binds me to sin and to seek Your light and Your truth above any fleeting pleasure. Teach me to value Your presence as the only source of complete and eternal happiness.

My Father, today I ask You to engrave Your precious laws on my heart. Give me understanding to know Your will and strength to follow it faithfully. May my desire be to live according to Your commandments, walking in obedience and enjoying communion with You. Deliver me from the snares of this world and guide me on the path of freedom and light.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being the source of all true joy and peace. Thank You for Your goodness, which calls me to live in communion with You. May my daily prayer always be to ask for Your guidance and Your strength, so that I may walk in faithfulness and love, experiencing the joy of Your presence. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. I am truly in love with Your commandments. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: May the peace and mercy of God be upon all…

“May the peace and mercy of God be upon all who live according to this principle, and upon the Israel of God” (Galatians 6:16).

Start right now. Before you leave this moment of silence, ask your King to take you completely for His service and simply place all the hours of this day at His disposal. Ask Him to prepare you and keep you ready to do exactly what He appoints. Do not worry about tomorrow. One day at a time is enough. Try it today and see if this will not be a day of strange peace, so sweet that, when tomorrow comes, you will be grateful for having asked Him to take you then as well.

This will become a blessed habit: to surrender yourself completely “to Your commandment” “for any kind of service” (1 Chronicles 28:21). That “any kind” does not necessarily mean active work. It may mean waiting—whether half an hour or half a lifetime—learning, suffering, or simply remaining in stillness.

Let us then ask God to prepare us for all that He is preparing for us. It does not matter if the call involves action, patience, or acceptance; what matters is that we are ready to fulfill His will. When we surrender our day and our whole being to Him, we discover a peace that can only come from living in tune with His plans. –Adapted from Frances Ridley Havergal. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, here and now, I surrender myself completely to Your service. I place all the hours of this day in Your hands, asking You to prepare me to fulfill Your will, whatever path You have appointed for me. Help me to live this day with simplicity and obedience, experiencing the peace that comes from being aligned with Your plan.

My Father, today I ask You to shape my heart to accept both action and waiting, according to Your will. Teach me to be ready to learn, to suffer, or simply to remain in stillness, trusting that each moment has a purpose in Your perfect timing. May I embrace this “any kind of service” with joy and faithfulness, knowing that You are with me every step of the way.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for the peace I find in living in tune with Your plans. Thank You for being the King who guides my days and sustains my heart in all circumstances. May my daily surrender to You become a blessed habit, and may I live each moment with gratitude and trust, ready to fulfill Your will. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law never leaves me confused about what pleases You. I love all Your beautiful commandments, without exception. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: And the Lord appeared to Isaac that very night…

“And the Lord appeared to Isaac that very night” (Genesis 26:24).

Consider what happened to Isaac: he arrived at Beersheba after fleeing petty quarrels over wells of water, those trivial worries that pile up and leave us exhausted. God only appeared to him on that specific night, when he finally found rest, because it is in the silence of the soul that we hear His clear voice. This teaches us that, in the midst of daily chaos, we need to seek a place of peace so that divine revelations may come, transforming our struggles into moments of deep and real connection.

This pursuit of tranquility invites us to reflect on how we should obey the eternal commandments of the Creator. That is because this is how we achieve intimacy and rest with God and Jesus. Obedience is not something complicated or distant, for God only asks what His children are able to give with a willing heart. Do not follow the path of those who ignore this, because obedience releases true freedom and brings us closer to the heavenly promises.

So, pause today and seek this intentional rest, choosing to obey so that God may bless you and lead you directly to the Son, where you find healing and direction. This practical decision makes room to hear God speak, making your life lighter and full of purpose. Walk in this peace, and see how things change for the better. Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Heavenly Father, open my eyes to value the moments of rest after the small battles of life, as Isaac found in Beersheba. May I learn to silence the inner noise so that Your voice may echo strong and clear. Help me turn weariness into an opportunity to meet You.

My Lord, give me wisdom to flee from accumulated worries and to seek Your rest with determination. Strengthen my spirit to obey in the midst of calm, guiding every thought to Your true peace. May I follow Your example of tranquility in every area.

Oh Lord, I thank You for appearing in moments of silence and rest, revealing Your restoring love. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the serene refuge that calms the storms of the soul. Your commandments are the gentle whisper that leads to true peace. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
