The Scriptures recount several cases of people who were especially blessed by God. Human beings like us, who were healed from serious illnesses, delivered from powerful enemies, and greatly prospered. They all had something in common: they were faithful to God’s laws and pleased the Lord with their lives. Many in the churches also seek God’s blessings but do not receive them because they have listened to false teachings. They learned that God blesses those who do not obey His laws revealed to the prophets of the Old Testament and to Jesus. Do not accept this lie just because the majority has accepted it. Seek to be faithful to God’s laws, and He will change your life and send you to the Son. | “We receive from Him whatever we ask because we obey His commandments and do what pleases Him.” 1 John 3:22
