Isaiah was the greatest of the messianic prophets of the Old Testament. He described in detail the mission of the Messiah, who would come about 700 years after his writings. It was clear that Jesus would bear the sins of those who cried out to the God of Israel for deliverance and salvation. At no point did Isaiah say that the Messiah would die so that people would not need to follow God’s Law. This fanciful idea is part of the false doctrine of “unmerited favor,” which millions joyfully accept in churches. The truth is that, to be saved, the Gentile needs to be sent to the Son by the Father, and the Father will never send someone who knows the laws He gave us through His prophets but blatantly disobeys them. | “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7
