“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last” (John 15:16).
God is a loving Father who never stops calling us, even when we stray from the path. He calls us with patience and mercy, desiring that we experience the fullness of the life He has planned for us. From the very beginning, we are called to repentance and baptism, but the journey does not end there. God continues to invite us, day after day, to walk closer to Him, following His guidance that leads to true peace and purpose. The Lord’s call is a constant proof of His love for us, and each time we respond, we draw nearer to His will.
Answering God’s call is not just a momentary decision, but a daily commitment to live in obedience to His Word. He has given us His laws not to burden us, but to guide us toward eternal life. When we choose to obey, we discover that obedience is the path to unimaginable blessings and a joy that the world cannot offer. Even when we fail, God does not give up on us, for He knows that, deep within, we were created to walk in His ways and reflect His glory.
When we finally respond to God’s call with firmness and decide to live a life of continual obedience, we experience something wonderful: He strengthens us and keeps us on that path. The Lord not only calls us, but also enables us to live according to His will. Each step of obedience draws us closer to His promises, and it is in this place of faithfulness that we find the true meaning of life and the assurance of eternal salvation. -Adapted from J. H. Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that I often stray from Your ways and fail to hear Your call. Even so, You, in Your immense patience and mercy, never stop inviting me to return to You. I know You have planned a full life for me, guided by Your truth and Your commandments, and that every step I take in response to Your call brings me closer to Your purpose and to the peace that only You can offer.
My Father, today I ask You to help me live in daily obedience to Your Word. I want to embrace Your laws not as a burden, but as a guide that leads to eternal life and to the blessings that only You can give. Even in my moments of failure, enable me to rise and remain firm in my commitment to honor You in all I do. Teach me to reflect Your glory through my actions and to find joy in the narrow path that leads to Your presence.
Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for never giving up on me and for strengthening me on my journey of obedience. It is Your strength that works in my weaknesses and keeps me faithful, even in the face of difficulties. Thank You for every step of faithfulness that brings me closer to Your promises and for the certainty that in You I find the true meaning of life and the assurance of eternal salvation. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law walks side by side with me at all times. Your commandments are sweeter than the sweetest honey.
