“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).
The sincere desire to know the Messiah and enjoy His presence requires clear direction. It is not enough to merely want spiritual nourishment and rest for the soul; one must walk the right path. The faithful servants of the past traveled a road marked by perseverance, faith, and trials. By following this same path, we learn to stand firm even when the way is narrow.
In this context, the great commandments of the Creator point to the safe route. The Law given to the prophets of the Old Testament and by Jesus reveals how to walk in the footsteps of those who remained faithful. God guides each servant to learn, listen, and feed on what is pure, separating what edifies from what confuses. To obey is to align oneself with the path already trodden by the righteous and to remain under the care of the Shepherd.
Today, the call is clear: choose to walk where the faithful have walked. Do not seek shortcuts or easier ways. By obeying the magnificent commandments of God, you will find true sustenance, protection, and sure direction. It is on this path that the Father blesses and prepares the soul to be sent to Jesus. Pray with me: Lord, I desire to walk the right path and learn from those who have faithfully served You before me. Help me not to reject the process nor fear the difficulties along the way. I want to be where You are and learn from You.
Give me strength to obey, discernment to hear what is pure, and courage to remain faithful. Guide my steps, guard my heart, and do not allow me to stray from Your direction. Teach me to live with constancy and faithfulness.
Oh, beloved Lord, I thank You for showing the safe way for my soul. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is green pasture that sustains the weary spirit. Your commandments are living trails that lead to life. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
