Daily Devotional: Behold, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us;…

“Behold, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us; and if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods” (Daniel 3:17-18).

The three Hebrews before Nebuchadnezzar displayed an unshakable faith. They knew that God could deliver them from the furnace, but they were willing to remain faithful even if deliverance did not come. This confidence is the true sign of an obedient heart—a faith that does not depend on circumstances, but on conviction. They preferred to face the fire rather than disobey the Lord.

This faithfulness is born from obedience to the magnificent Law of God, the same Law that Jesus and His disciples kept with zeal and love. When we live according to the splendid commandments of the Father, fear loses its power, and the heart is filled with courage to stand firm even in the face of persecution. God reveals His plans to the obedient and strengthens those who do not bow before the idols of the world.

The Father blesses and sends the obedient to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. May your faith be like that of those three servants—firm, resolute, and non-negotiable—ready to obey God, even if the fire comes. Adapted from D. L. Moody. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Beloved Lord, give me the courage of Your faithful servants. May I not deny Your name in the face of trials, but remain steadfast in Your truth.

Strengthen my faith so that I may trust in You, whether deliverance comes or the furnace. May my heart never bow to the false gods of this world.

Oh, dear Father, I thank You for teaching me to remain faithful in the midst of the flames. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the rock that sustains my faith. Your commandments are like pure fire that consumes fear and ignites in me heavenly courage. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
