Many Jews recognized, and Jesus confirmed, that John the Baptist was the one who would come in the spirit of Elijah, as prophesied in the Old Testament. Jesus Himself relied on the prophecies to show that He was the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The prophecies are essential for us to know what comes from God and what comes from the enemy. Neither in the Old Testament nor in the words of Jesus are there prophecies about the sending of anyone, inside or outside the Bible, to teach the doctrine of “unmerited favor,” used by millions to live in disobedience to God’s Law. Salvation is individual. No gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority because they are many. | “They rebelled against me. They disobeyed my laws and did not keep my commandments, which give life to those who keep them.” (Ezekiel 20:21)
The cunning of the serpent and human foolishness together created fertile ground for deception within the churches. Among the greatest absurdities is the idea that God will bless those who live in disobedience to His holy laws. This ancient lie dresses itself in religious appearance, but has the same purpose as in Eden: to lead souls away from obedience. The Lord never promised blessing to rebels, but to those who faithfully keep the powerful commandments revealed to the prophets in the Old Testament and by Jesus in the Gospels. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “We receive from Him whatever we ask because we obey His commandments and do what pleases Him.” (1 John 3:22)
All the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels have direct support in the Old Testament, and this establishes a non-negotiable standard for us gentiles: we must accept only what aligns with what God transmitted through the prophets and through His Son. The plan of salvation taught to gentiles today does not come from the prophets, nor from Christ; therefore it is false and leads to perdition. What Jesus really taught is simple and unchangeable: no one comes to the Son unless the Father sends them, and the Father only sends those who follow the same laws He gave to the nation He set apart for Himself with an everlasting covenant. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense because it is the true one. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds fast to My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
The defenders of the false doctrine of “unmerited favor” believe that the God of the Scriptures is flexible, that His laws do not need to be strictly obeyed. That is why they often say that, although a person does not need to do anything to be saved, they ”should try” to obey the commandments. This ”should try” implies something not mandatory, but merely optional. God knows exactly what they are doing, and they will have a bitter surprise at the final judgment. It was for them to be obeyed that God gave us His laws through the prophets and through Jesus. The Lord is not a God of uncertainties, but of clarity. Those who love and obey Him, He sends to Jesus; but those who know His laws and ignore them are not sent to the Son. | “You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
The promoters of the doctrine of “unmerited favor” like to say that this teaching comes from the Holy Spirit, but that is a lie. Jesus explained that the Holy Spirit would remind us of everything He Himself taught and no one else. He also told us that the Spirit would convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. How does this work of the Spirit of God align with disobedience to God’s Law, as do the churches that accept this doctrine? Jesus never taught that His death would exempt gentiles from following the laws the Father gave us in the Old Testament, laws that He, His relatives, friends, and apostles faithfully followed. The Scriptures are filled with wonderful promises that God made to the nation He set apart for Himself and sealed with the eternal covenant of circumcision. These promises are faithful and unfailing, for God, unlike man, always keeps His word. If you belong to the Israel of God, all these blessings are for you and your family. Any gentile can join Israel and be blessed by God, as long as he follows the same laws that the Lord gave to Israel. The Father sees the faith and courage of that gentile, despite the difficulties. He pours out His love on him, joins him to Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. | And God said to Abraham: You will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. (Genesis 12:2-3)
The plan of salvation being taught to gentiles has no basis in the words of Jesus. It is a terrible deception that turns rebellion into virtue and disobedience into faith. In practice, it is as if man says to God: “I know all Your laws, I could obey them, but I choose not to. I am intentionally disobedient and, even so, I believe I will be saved, because salvation is an unmerited favor.” A soul that thinks this way will never rise. The Father does not send the disobedient to the Son. He only sends those who follow the same laws He gave to the nation He chose for Himself with an eternal covenant. The apostles and disciples of Jesus were faithful to the Father’s laws and so must we be. Living by faith involves facing fear, silencing natural instinct, and rejecting the false solutions suggested by the enemy. Many seek peace, deliverance, and salvation, but do not find them because they look in the wrong place. Most churches teach a relationship with God in which it is not necessary to obey what the Creator Himself requires of His creatures, a deadly lie that leads souls away from the truth. The real path has remained the same since Eden: to obey every commandment revealed by the prophets before the Messiah and by the Messiah Himself. Only then does the Father delight in us, receive us as His own, bless us, and send us to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. Do not follow the majority. Obey while you are still alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
God never leaves us alone when we wholeheartedly strive to obey Him in our daily lives. Obedience to the powerful commandments that the Most High gave us through the prophets who came before the Messiah and through the Messiah Himself is the foundation of all intimacy with God the Father and with Jesus. It is when the soul decides to honor each commandment exactly as it was revealed that the Father pours out protection, guidance, peace, and strength to overcome temptations. Many hope to feel God’s presence while remaining in disobedience, but that will never happen, the Father only draws near to those who choose Him above all and prove it by daily faithfulness to His eternal Law. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord, to walk in all His ways, and to obey His commandments for your own good?” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)
In various churches, they try to convince gentiles that they do not need to keep commandments such as the Sabbath, circumcision, the beard, and unclean meats because, according to them, “the first Christians also abandoned them.” But that is not an argument, it is condemnation! Since when do we follow the disobedient as an example? The Most High gave us the Messiah as a reference, not men who abandoned the Law. Jesus obeyed everything. And His apostles and disciples, who learned directly from Him, also obeyed everything. Those who came later and rejected the Law did not inaugurate a new path; they merely repeated the error of Eden.
