Daily Devotional: “He will baptize you with fire” (Matthew 3:11).

“He will baptize you with fire” (Matthew 3:11).

Fire has a unique and natural intensity, penetrating deeply into the essence of whatever it touches. It mingles with every particle, transforming what it encounters. In the same way, intense trials come to the most sensitive souls, to those who have more points of contact with pain. And there are even deeper trials that occur when we are shaped by the hands of God, when we move from the physical and intellectual level to the spiritual. These experiences often frighten us and, in the midst of suffering, we tend to question: “Can this really come from a loving Father? How can this be for my good?”

However, it is necessary to understand that God’s purpose in trials is always to transform us and align us with His will. The hand of God may seem heavy to those who resist obedience, but this resistance prevents us from experiencing the blessings He wants to give us. God wants us to be blessed, but the blessing only comes when we submit to His leadership, surrendering our ways and our will in obedience to His commandments.

Only the children who choose to obey the powerful commandments of God can experience the fullness of His promises. The fire of trials, though intense, purifies, strengthens, and brings us closer to the heart of God. It is by going through these experiences with a submissive spirit that we become truly prepared to receive the blessings He has reserved for those who follow Him faithfully. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that trials often burn like intense fire, reaching the core of my being and bringing doubts and fears to the surface. In the midst of suffering, I question how this can be an expression of Your love, but I know You have a purpose in every difficulty. Help me to understand that these trials are tools to shape my heart and align my life with Your will, even when I do not fully understand what You are doing.

My Father, today I ask You to give me a submissive heart, willing to obey Your commandments, even when the path seems difficult. Deliver me from the resistance that prevents Your blessings from flowing in my life and teach me to trust in Your plan, knowing that trials have the power to purify and strengthen my faith. Guide me to surrender my will to You, so that I may experience the fullness of the promises You have reserved for Your children.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because You transform even the fire of trials into something precious for my life. Thank You for not giving up on me, even when I falter in my obedience. I exalt Your name because I know that, as I submit to Your love and leadership, I am being prepared to receive the blessings that only You can offer. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law does not let me stray down dangerous paths. Your commandments are like blooming gardens that perfume and beautify my existence. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “Why are you downcast, O my soul?” (Psalm 43:5).

“Why are you downcast, O my soul?” (Psalm 43:5).

Is there reason for discouragement? There are only two legitimate reasons: if we have not yet been converted, we have reason to be saddened; or if we have already been converted but are living in disobedience. Apart from these two situations, there is no foundation for sadness, for everything else can be brought before God in prayer, with supplications and thanksgiving. Our needs, difficulties, and trials are opportunities for us to exercise faith in the power and love of God, trusting that He always cares for those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

Many people have already given their lives to Jesus, but have not yet taken the essential step of seeking to obey the commandments of the Father of Jesus. This obedience is what aligns us with the divine will and allows us to live fully. Without it, our faith runs the risk of being superficial, incapable of leading us to true communion with the Lord and to the blessings He desires to pour out upon us. Obedience is the practical expression of genuine faith.

Only when we seek to live as the apostles and disciples of Christ lived—in faithful obedience to the commandments of God—can we experience a faith that transforms. It is this obedient faith that fills us with the Lord’s blessings and protection, strengthening us against life’s difficulties and filling us with joy and peace. To obey is not a burden, but a privilege that draws us ever closer to the heart of God. –Adapted from George Müeller. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that many times I let myself be carried away by discouragement, forgetting that, apart from a lack of conversion or disobedience, there is no real reason for sadness. Help me to trust that all the difficulties and trials I face can be placed before You, with prayers and thanksgiving, and that You always care for those who seek You with a sincere heart. Teach me to see every challenge as an opportunity to exercise faith in Your power and Your love.

My Father, today I ask You to guide me on the path of obedience to Your commandments. If there are areas in my life where I have not yet aligned myself with Your will, reveal them to me and give me strength to correct my course. Help me to live as the disciples and apostles of Christ lived, in faithfulness and submission to Your word, so that my faith may not be superficial, but rather a faith that transforms and glorifies Your name.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for being a Father who desires to bless and protect me. Thank You for showing me that obedience is not a burden, but a privilege that draws me closer to Your heart. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a trustworthy bridge that leads me to Your dwelling place. I love Your commandments, for they are the hidden treasure that enriches my heart. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened…

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

There is a natural law in sin and sickness that works against us; if we simply let ourselves be carried away by circumstances, we will end up sinking and falling under the dominion of the tempter. However, there is another, higher law—the law of spiritual and physical life in God the Father and in Christ Jesus—by which we can rise up and neutralize the force that oppresses us. For this, however, it is necessary to possess true spiritual energy, a firm purpose, a stable posture, and the habit of obedience and faith. This dynamic is like the use of energy in a factory: the power is available, but it is up to us to turn on the current and keep it connected. When we do this, that higher energy comes into action, moving all the machinery.

Our faith is manifested in obedience, and this is how God sees that we trust in Him. When we reject the voices that oppose His will and align ourselves with His commandments, we receive from Him the strength needed to overcome all the attacks of the evil one. It is not enough to believe passively; we must act according to what we believe, strengthening our bond with the Father through submission to His word. In this process, divine energy flows, enabling us to overcome the spiritual and physical challenges we face.

As we obey God, we experience the transforming power of His presence. This continuous connection with Him keeps the “current” of His strength active in our lives, equipping us to withstand the assaults of the enemy and to live in victory. It is not by our own strength, but by the power that comes from the Father, that we are able to rise above the forces that try to bring us down. -Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that there are natural forces of sin and sickness that work against me, seeking to draw me away from You and subdue me. I recognize that if I simply let myself be carried away by circumstances, I will end up sinking. But I know there is a higher law in You, which offers me spiritual life and strength to overcome. Help me to develop the necessary spiritual energy, to strengthen my purpose, fortify my faith, and practice obedience to Your will, so that Your strength may be manifested in my life.

My Father, today I ask You to help me stay continuously connected to Your source of power, rejecting the voices that draw me away from Your commandments and acting in faith in all that I believe. Teach me to depend on You not only in words, but in actions, so that Your divine energy may flow in me and enable me to overcome the spiritual and physical challenges I face. Give me the wisdom to keep this connection active and constant, even in the most difficult moments.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for Your transforming power, which works in me when I obey and trust in You completely. Thank You for being my strength, for equipping me to resist the evil one, and for lifting me above the forces that try to bring me down. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law invades my soul and strengthens me every day. Your commandments are like the light of dawn that dispels the darkness from my path. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “I have begun to give you the land… begin to possess it” (Deuteronomy…

“I have begun to give you the land… begin to possess it” (Deuteronomy 2:31).

The Bible repeatedly speaks about the importance of waiting on God. This lesson is crucial, as our impatience with God’s timing often puts us in difficult situations. We live in an age of haste and immediacy, but God works in His perfect time, shaping our lives and preparing our hearts for the blessings He wants to give us. When we try to harvest the fruits before they are ripe, we end up frustrated. In the same way, when we insist on quick answers to our prayers, we forget that we often need to go through a process of transformation before we are ready to receive what we have asked for.

God invites us to walk with Him, but we often complain that His pace is too slow. This perception happens because, many times, our lives are not aligned with His commandments. God is never late; He patiently waits for us to adjust our hearts and choices to His will. When we obey His instructions, we begin to understand His timing and see how every moment of waiting is part of His perfect plan for us.

We need to remember that God’s blessings and protection are reserved for those who choose to listen and obey His voice. We cannot demand that He accompany us on our own paths when we refuse to walk the paths He has prepared for us. It is only when we decide to follow His instructions, His holy and perfect commandments, that we experience true communion with the Lord, walking at the same pace and enjoying the peace and joy that only He can provide. -Adapted from J. R. Miller. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that I am often impatient and want things to happen in my own time, forgetting that You work at Your perfect pace. Help me remember that every moment of waiting is part of Your plan to shape my heart and prepare my life for the blessings You have reserved. Teach me to trust in You, even when the answer takes time, knowing that You are never late and always act with wisdom and love.

My Father, today I ask You to align my heart with Your commandments, so that I may better understand Your timing and walk according to Your will. Give me a spirit of obedience, so that I may not only wait for Your blessings, but also be ready to receive them at the right time. Help me to adjust my choices and actions to Your way, trusting that by doing so, I will find peace and joy even in the longest waits.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being so patient with me, even when I falter and question Your plans. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for always working for my good, even when I do not understand Your ways. May my life be an expression of trust in You, and may I learn to walk at Your pace, enjoying the communion and blessings that only You can offer. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is my faithful beacon that lights my path. I love Your commandments, for they are the wings that lift me above the tribulations of life. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “Why are you so far away, Lord?” (Psalm 10:1).

“Why are you so far away, Lord?” (Psalm 10:1).

God is “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1), even when we face overwhelming problems that give us the mistaken impression that He is indifferent to our pain. These difficult moments are not a sign of abandonment, but of purpose. God allows us to reach the limits of our strength so that we may find hidden treasures in the darkness and precious gains in tribulation. Even in the midst of suffering, we can be certain that He is with us, sustaining and guiding us, even if we only see this clearly after the storm has passed.

These experiences remind us that living in obedience to God’s commandments is essential. His commandments are an expression of His love and wisdom. They show us the way to a meaningful life, even in a world full of pain and challenges. They are necessary because they come from a God who knows our deepest needs and desires to teach us true happiness, which is only found when we live in harmony with His will.

Jesus is the greatest example of faithfulness to God’s commandments. At every stage of His life, He demonstrated how to trust and obey the Father, even in the face of suffering and rejection. Just as Jesus remained faithful, we are also called to do the same, trusting that God never abandons those who choose to follow His instructions. In the end, faithfulness leads us to lasting joy and a peace that only God can offer. -Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that, many times, the storms of life make me feel as if I am alone and helpless. However, I know that You are my refuge and strength, even when I cannot clearly see Your presence. Help me remember that challenges are not signs of abandonment, but opportunities to find You in deeper ways. Teach me to trust in You, even when circumstances are difficult, knowing that You are always with me, sustaining me to the end.

My Father, today I ask You to plant in my heart the desire to live in obedience to Your commandments, even in times of pain and uncertainty. Give me strength to walk in Your way, understanding that each commandment is an expression of Your love and care for me. Help me to follow the example of Jesus, who trusted in You in everything, even facing suffering, and remained faithful to the end.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because You never abandon me and because You turn tribulation into victory. Thank You for being a faithful God, who guides and sustains those who choose to obey Your ways. May my life be a response of gratitude and faithfulness to You, and may I experience the lasting joy and peace that come from Your presence. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is like a dear mother, who always nourishes me with strength and faith. Your commandments are like rivers of living water that quench my spiritual thirst. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Jesus withdrew from there by boat to a deserted place…

“Jesus withdrew from there by boat to a deserted place, apart” (Matthew 14:13).

In the pauses of life, it seems there is no music, but within them lies the creation of something new and beautiful. In the melody of our lives, pauses appear here and there, and often, in our foolishness, we think the music has come to an end. God, in His wisdom, allows times of pause: an unexpected illness, frustrated plans, efforts that seem in vain. In these interruptions, we lament the silence of our voices and feel as if we are absent from the great choir that rises to the ears of the Creator. Yet we forget that these pauses are not the end, but an essential part of the divine composition.

The musician knows how to read the pause. He does not get lost, but marks the time with constancy and precision, waiting for the next note as an integral part of the music. So it is with the pauses God gives us. They invite us to reflect, to correct our course, to perceive where we have not obeyed His commandments. It is in these moments of silence that God speaks most clearly, awakening us to the need to realign our lives with His perfect will.

When we recognize these pauses as opportunities to turn back to obedience, God draws near to us. He eases the weight of suffering and resumes the melody of our lives, now more attuned to His purpose. The music continues, and we learn that even the intervals, as difficult as they may be, are part of a greater and perfect symphony, composed by the Creator. -Adapted from John Ruskin. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that I often see the pauses of life as moments of uncertainty and loss, forgetting that they are part of Your perfect composition. In the interruptions, I am tempted to think the music has come to an end, but You, in Your wisdom, use these times to shape my heart and teach me to trust in Your plan. Help me to see the pauses not as absence, but as opportunities for growth and renewal in Your presence.

My Father, today I ask You to teach me to wait patiently during the pauses You allow in my life. Give me a heart attentive to hear Your voice in the silence, to reflect on my steps and correct myself where I have failed to obey Your commandments. Show me how to use these moments to realign myself with Your will and strengthen my faith, trusting that the next note will be played at the right time by Your perfect hands.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being the great Composer of life, who transforms even silences into part of Your glorious symphony. Thank You for not leaving me lost, but for guiding me back to the melody You have written for me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law brings me constant security. Your commandments are the gentle melody that calms the storms within me. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Better is sorrow than laughter, for with sadness…

“Better is sorrow than laughter, for with sadness of face the heart is made better” (Ecclesiastes 7:3).

When sorrow is guided by the hand of God, it ceases to be merely a burden on the soul and becomes a divine tool for our growth. It is in these moments of pain and reflection that God reveals parts of ourselves we had never noticed before. He uses sorrow as a plow, breaking the hardened soil of our hearts, preparing it for a harvest of faith, transformation, and purpose. Instead of running from it, we should face it as an opportunity for learning and for drawing closer to God.

However, it is important to remember that sorrow without hope can lead us into a cycle of despair and self-sabotage. But when we trust in the Lord, even in pain, we find strength to move forward. He calls us to obey His commandments, not as a burden, but as a path to true freedom. It is in obedience that we find clarity to see beyond difficult circumstances and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.

When we surrender our sorrow to God and commit to living in obedience, something extraordinary happens. God not only removes the weight of suffering, but also transforms our pain into blessings and renews our conscience. He teaches us that, even in a fallen world, sorrow can be an instrument of redemption and growth, as long as we allow Him to be in control. Thus, we live with the certainty that, in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him. –Adapted from Maltbie Babcock. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, I recognize that many times, sorrow weighs upon my soul and it seems difficult to find meaning in it. But I know that, guided by You, it becomes a tool for growth, breaking the barriers of my heart and shaping me according to Your purpose. Help me to see pain as an opportunity for learning and transformation, so that I may draw closer to You and see beyond the momentary suffering.

My Father, today I ask You to grant me the hope that comes from You, even in the midst of sorrow. Do not let me fall into despair, but give me strength to continue in obedience to Your commandments, trusting that they are the path to true freedom. Teach me to look beyond difficult circumstances and to experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that You are in control.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore You and praise You for being a Father who transforms pain into blessing. Thank You for teaching me that even sorrow can be an instrument of Your redemption and Your love. I exalt Your name because I know that, in all things, You work for the good of those who love You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law never leaves me confused. Your commandments are like royal banquets for my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just…

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9).

Our sin is the greatest of evils because it creates a chasm between us and the greatest good—God Himself. The closer we draw to Him, the further we move away from sin. On the other hand, the more we allow ourselves to live in sin, the more distant we become from His presence. True repentance, then, is not just a turning point, but a liberation, breaking the chains of sin and leading us back to our Creator. The gravity of sin lies in the greatness of the One we have offended—a God so infinite that neither the heavens nor the earth can contain Him. This truth highlights why sin is such a serious offense.

One of the challenges many Christians face is the desire to abandon sin without fully committing to obeying God’s commandments. They want change, but often lack the determination to take the necessary steps toward true transformation. While no one finds it difficult to obey all the commandments, many fail to start with those that are easier. This selective obedience creates a barrier to intimacy with God, who seeks hearts wholly surrendered to Him.

Let us begin, then, by obeying what comes most naturally to us, and ask God for strength to overcome where we are weakest. This humble posture honors the Lord and lays the foundation for true spiritual growth. As we submit to His commandments, even in small steps, He enables us to overcome greater challenges. This commitment to obedience is not just an act of discipline, but the path to freedom from sin, drawing us ever closer to the heart of our Savior. —Adapted from Johann Gerhard. Until tomorrow, if the Lord wills.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that we often underestimate the seriousness of sin and the damage it causes to our relationship with You. I acknowledge that sin creates a chasm between me and Your infinite love, and the more I allow myself to live distant from You, the more I lose the joy of Your presence. Help me to deeply understand the seriousness of offending such a great and holy God, so that my heart may be moved to true repentance, breaking the chains that keep me away from You.

My Father, today I ask You to help me live in obedience to Your commandments, starting with those that are most accessible to me. Give me the determination to move forward step by step, knowing that each act of faithfulness brings me closer to Your heart. Deliver me from the temptation of selective obedience and guide me to a complete commitment to You, so that my life may reflect Your holiness.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for Your infinite patience and mercy. Thank You for never giving up on me, even when I fail to obey You completely. I exalt Your name because You are a God who empowers the weak and guides Your children in the path of righteousness. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is my faithful bridge that has brought me ever closer to You. I love Your commandments, for they are the manna that sustains my hungry heart. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed…

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, and I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)

God always transforms apparent defeats into glorious victories. Sometimes it seems that the enemy has the advantage, that the forces of evil are triumphing, and that the battle is lost. But God, in His infinite wisdom, allows this to happen to show that He is sovereign and all-powerful. He acts at the right time, dismantles the works of darkness, and reverses what seemed to be a defeat in order to exalt His name and strengthen His children. As it is written, God “frustrates the way of the wicked” (Psalm 146:9). He does this to teach us that true victory comes from Him and not from our own efforts.

Those who choose to live in obedience to God’s powerful Law may face obstacles, trials, and delays, but they will never be defeated. This obedience is a declaration of faith and trust in God, and He never abandons those who walk in His ways. When we commit ourselves to His will and follow His instructions, we are placing our battles in the hands of the God who never fails. The apparent losses we face only serve to lead us to a greater triumph, planned by Him from the beginning.

Whatever the challenge may be, remember that God is in control. Victory is guaranteed for those who remain faithful. He protects us with His constant presence, and there is no force in the universe that can frustrate His plans. Therefore, persevere. Obey. Trust. The God who turned the cross into resurrection is working in your favor, and He never loses a battle. —Adapted from Lettie B. Cowman. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that we are often tempted to believe that the defeats and difficulties we face are final and irreversible. In the midst of the shadows of battle, it often seems that the enemy is triumphing and that our efforts are useless. But You, in Your infinite wisdom, show us that You have absolute control over all things, transforming what seemed lost into victory for Your glory.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen my faith and my obedience to Your Law. Sustain me amid the trials and challenges that arise, knowing that every apparent defeat is merely a step in Your perfect plan. Teach me to trust fully in You, surrendering my battles into Your hands, because I know that You never fail. Guide me in Your ways and help me to persevere, knowing that true victory comes from You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for Your incomparable sovereignty and power. Thank You for being the God who transforms crosses into resurrection and who never loses a battle. I exalt Your name for protecting Your children and fulfilling every one of Your promises. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law sustains me at every moment. Your commandments are like the welcoming shade under the tree of peace in the midday heat. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: And Jesus said to him: If you can believe; all things are possible…

“And Jesus said to him: If you can believe; all things are possible to him who believes. Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’” (Mark 9:23-24).

Even in a small spark, there is fire. Try putting that spark on a cloth with gasoline and you will see how it bursts into flames. In the same way, if you have faith, even if it is weak, it is still faith. Faith is not always a bright torch; sometimes, it is a faint candle. Yet, just as a candle gives light, though less intense than a torch, faith, even in its most fragile form, still brings illumination.

It is God who awakens this desire for faith in us and, even more, who brings it to fulfillment. Many wish to have more faith, to grow spiritually, but find themselves stuck, unable to move forward, because they lack obedience to the Father’s commandments. True faith is not just a feeling or a conviction; it is strengthened and matured through obedience. It is by aligning ourselves with God’s instructions that we discover the power of a living and growing faith.

When we make the firm decision to obey all of God’s instructions and ignore the influences of those who disobey, we experience the kind of faith that moves mountains. This is the faith that lights the way, overcomes challenges, and connects us deeply to the Father. Obedience is the fertile ground where faith germinates, grows, and bears fruit, bringing us closer to God and to His eternal purpose for our lives. -Adapted from Henry Müller. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, thank you for the light of faith, even when it seems small and fragile in my heart. I know that, like a spark, even the smallest faith can illuminate my life and lead me to You. Help me to trust that this faith, which You have awakened in me, has power when nourished by obedience to Your Word. Do not let me underestimate the strength of this flame, for I know it can grow and bring light in the midst of darkness.

Heavenly Father, enable me to obey Your commandments with integrity and courage. I know that it is in obedience that my faith finds ground to grow and flourish. Help me to ignore the influences of those who disobey and to remain steadfast in Your will, so that my faith may become alive, robust, and able to overcome any challenge You allow me to face.

Oh, faithful God, I praise You because You are the author and finisher of my faith. You are the one who plants the seed in my heart and makes it grow. Grant me the blessing to remain in obedience, so that my faith may not be just a weak flame, but a strong and steady light that reflects Your presence and leads others to You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is a wall of protection around me. I love Your commandments, for they are the compass that guides my spirit through the seas of life. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
