The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “He who is not born of water and the Spirit cannot…

“He who is not born of water and the Spirit cannot enter the Kingdom of God” (John 3:5).

When Jesus speaks of entering the Kingdom of God, He is not referring only to heaven after death, but to the Kingdom coming to earth and the privilege of living it here and now. Many Christians are content with the idea of a future heaven, without realizing that the promise involves a present transformation. Entering the Kingdom means possessing all that God has promised us: His constant presence, His dominion established over our life, and His will being done in us and through us.

Entry into this Kingdom does not occur automatically, nor by mere expectation. It happens through a living and active faith, a faith that is expressed through obedience. God has not called His people to a passive belief, but to an active commitment to His will. He who desires to experience the Kingdom must demonstrate his faith through total submission to the divine will. It is not enough to wait for future blessings; it is necessary to act according to the principles that God has revealed.

The commandments of God carry within them a transformative power. Everyone who chooses to obey finds not only guidance but also spiritual strength and authority. This obedience allows us to enter the Kingdom of God now, experiencing the promises in our present life, and guarantees us entry into eternity. There is no separation between one and the other. He who lives in fidelity to God already begins to enjoy the Kingdom here on earth, with all the blessings it brings, and, in due time, will inherit eternal life. -Adapted from A. Murray. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that Your Kingdom is not just a future promise, but a reality that I can live here and now. I know that entering this Kingdom means allowing Your presence, Your will, and Your dominion to be established in my life. I do not want to be content with just the expectation of heaven, but I desire to experience the fullness of Your presence today, living under Your government and following Your ways with fidelity.

My Father, today I ask You to help me have a living faith, that manifests itself in total obedience to Your will. I know that it is not enough just to believe; it is necessary to act according to the principles You have revealed. I want to demonstrate my faith not only with words, but with my life, choosing to follow Your commandments and live according to Your truth. Give me a submissive heart, ready to walk in Your Kingdom from now on, experiencing Your peace, Your strength, and Your care at every step.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You have called Your children to a life of fidelity and fullness in You. Thank You because, by obeying You, I can already begin to enjoy the promises of Your Kingdom, knowing that my fidelity today will also lead me to eternal life. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is my faithful beacon that illuminates my steps. Your commandments are like the welcoming shade under the tree of peace in the heat of midday. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “The prayer made by a righteous person can do much in its…

“The prayer made by a righteous person can do much in its effects” (James 5:16).

God knows every detail of our lives. He sees our pains, counts our tears, and knows exactly what we face. There is nothing we can hide from Him, for it was God Himself who allowed certain trials to teach us, to strengthen us, and to draw us closer to Him. But, despite knowing everything, He desires that we cry out to Him for deliverance, for prayer is the way He established for us to relate to His grace and mercy.

However, it is not enough to simply ask; the prayer that God answers is the prayer of the righteous—one who seeks to please Him and lives in obedience to His commandments. When we pray with humility and a heart truly determined to obey all that He has already instructed us in the Scriptures, our plea is heard and answered. God does not reject the prayer of His faithful children. He restored His people in the past and continues to restore today those who love Him and demonstrate this love through obedience.

If this is the truth, why not do it now? What prevents you from completely surrendering to the Lord and trusting in Him? Begin to obey the powerful Law of God, and then you will see the hand of the Lord working in your life and in the lives of those you love. There are no barriers for those who stand before God with a submissive heart and a willingness to follow all that He has revealed. The peace you seek and the answers you desire will come in due time—for God never forsakes the righteous. -Adapted from Henry Müller. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that You know every detail of my life. You see my pains, count my tears, and know exactly what I face. I know that nothing is hidden from Your eyes and that every trial has a purpose: to teach me, to strengthen me, and to draw me closer to You.

My Father, today I ask that You teach me to pray with a righteous, sincere, and obedient heart. I do not want to merely ask, but I want to live in such a way that my life is pleasing to You, faithfully following Your commandments. I know that You hear and answer the prayer of those who love You and demonstrate this love through obedience. Give me the humility to recognize Your instructions and the strength to follow them without hesitation, trusting that Your will is perfect.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You never forsake those who seek You with sincerity. Thank You because the peace I seek and the answers I hope for will come in Your time, for You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. May my prayer be accompanied by a life submissive to You, so that I may see Your hand working powerfully in my life and in the lives of those I love. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is my shield and sword against the attacks of the enemy. Your commandments are like the gentle breeze that caresses and soothes my thoughts. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Therefore, I say to you: do not be anxious about…

“Therefore, I say to you: do not be anxious about your life” (Matthew 6:25).

These words of Jesus are not merely advice, but a command to those who truly trust in the Father. Anxiety is like a persistent tide that tries to suffocate everything God places in our hearts. If we do not worry about clothes and food, soon other concerns arise—be they related to money, health, or relationships. The invasion of anxiety is constant, and unless we allow the Spirit of God to lift our minds above these concerns, we will be swept away by this current and lose our peace.

Jesus’ warning applies to the true children of God. He who does not belong to the Lord, who does not love Him and does not obey His commandments, has every reason to live anxiously. But those who have loved God to the point of receiving His instructions and following them with joy have no reason to fear or be troubled. The Father cares for His faithful children, and nothing affects them without His permission. Obedience to the Lord’s commandments not only keeps us aligned with His will but also ensures us a place under His protection.

God desires to guide us closer to Him, to shape us according to His will, and ultimately, to grant us eternal life by His side. He who trusts and obeys the Father need not live anxiously, for he knows that all things are under His control. True peace comes when we surrender our path to the Lord and live confidently that He will provide everything in due time. Anxiety is for those who live far from God; trust is for those who dwell in the shadow that covers the obedient. -Adapted from O. Chambers. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that anxiety tries to suffocate everything You place in my heart, but You have commanded me not to be anxious, for those who trust in You have the assurance of Your care. I know that often my mind clings to the worries of this life, but I do not want to be swept away by this current. Teach me to lift my thoughts above the daily concerns, so that I may fully rest in Your providence and Your faithfulness.

My Father, today I ask You to strengthen my faith, so that I may not live like those who do not know You and do not follow Your ways. I know that Your faithful children have no reason to fear, for they are under Your protection and nothing happens to them without Your permission. May I trust with all my heart that, by living in obedience to Your holy Law, I find security and peace, for You care for every detail of my life.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You are sovereign over all things and never forsake those who obey You. Thank You because the peace that comes from You does not depend on circumstances, but on the certainty that You govern everything with love and justice. May my life be marked by this trust, so that I may live without fear of tomorrow, knowing that my path is secure in Your hands. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the unshakable foundation of my life. There is nothing as wonderful as Your commandments. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
