The Law of God: Daily Devotional: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23…

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

“The Lord is my shepherd.” What a powerful truth, my friend! The God of heaven and earth, the Creator who holds the universe as if it were a grain, is your shepherd. He guards and cares for you as a shepherd does for his sheep. If you truly believe this, fear and worry will no longer have a place in your heart. With such a Shepherd, how could anything good be lacking in your life?

But understand: He is not the shepherd of everyone — only of those who belong to His flock. The Lord’s sheep know His voice and follow His orders. Hearing God is not just listening; it is obeying what He has revealed through the prophets and Jesus. Only the obedient receive His constant care.

So, stand firm in this today. Obey the voice of your Shepherd, live according to His Word, and you will see that you shall not want. The Lord guides you, protects you, and supplies you with His eternal love. -Adapted from H. W. Smith. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits us.

Pray with me: Dear God, today I bow before the powerful truth that You, the Creator who holds the universe as a grain, are my Shepherd, caring for me with a love that drives away all fear and worry from my heart. I confess that sometimes I doubt this care, allowing fear to steal my peace, but now I see that with You as my Shepherd, nothing good will be lacking for me.

My Father, today I ask You to give me attentive ears to know Your voice and a heart willing to obey what You have revealed through the prophets and Jesus, for I know that only the sheep of Your flock receive Your constant care. Teach me that hearing You is not just listening, but following Your Word with fidelity, so that I may be counted among Yours. I ask You to guide me to live according to Your orders, standing firm in Your unfailing love.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being my Shepherd, promising to guide, protect, and supply with Your eternal love those who obey Your will. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the voice that calls me. Your beautiful commandments are the path to Your peace. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: And do not be conformed to this world, but be…

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2).

For those who belong to God, the burdens of life become blessings that you receive with joy. When your will aligns with His, even the hardest trials turn into moments of growth and happiness. God’s divine purpose governs everything — the universe, the angels, the course of your life — and this order brings incredible peace, placing you at the center of His eternal rest, wrapped in His unfailing love.

Isaiah 26:3 says: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.” But trusting God is not just about thinking beautifully — it’s action. Abraham was not approved by his thoughts, but by obeying. True trust is shown when you live God’s Law daily, not just in the mind.

It is this obedience that opens the doors to blessings. Decide to align your life with God’s will, obeying His powerful Law, and you will see showers of peace and joy descend upon you. At the center of His plan, burdens become gifts, and His rest sustains you. -Adapted from H. E. Manning. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, today I marvel at the promise that, for those who belong to You, the burdens of life become blessings that I receive with joy when my will bows to Yours in perfect harmony. I confess that sometimes I face trials with resistance, not seeing that Your divine purpose governs everything — the universe, the angels, my own path — bringing a peace that places me at the center of Your eternal rest. Help me align my heart with Yours, so that even pains turn into growth and happiness wrapped in Your unfailing love.

My Father, today I ask You to give me the active faith of Abraham, who not only trusted You with thoughts but proved it by obeying. Teach me that trusting You is living Your Law daily, showing my trust in actions, not just in beautiful words. I ask that You guide me to obey firmly, so that I may experience the perfect peace that comes from being at the center of Your will.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for transforming my burdens into gifts and sustaining me with Your rest, pouring showers of peace and joy upon those who obey Your will. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is a reliable vessel in my journey towards the eternal homeland. Your commandments are steps of joy. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: He lay down and slept, and behold, an angel touched…

“He lay down and slept, and behold, an angel touched him and said to him, ‘Arise and eat’” (1 Kings 19:5).

When Elijah was discouraged, fleeing from Jezebel’s threats, the angel did not bring grand visions or explanations — he simply told him to get up and eat, something simple and common. Discouragement, anxiety, and depression are part of human life; stones and water do not feel this, but we do, because we are alive. If we could not become discouraged, we would also not have the capacity to rejoice. The sin of this world pulls us down, and it is natural for us to feel this weight when we look at ourselves.

The way out of this discouragement is to draw near to God. The closer we are to Him, the more His strength covers us, bringing encouragement and peace. There is no trick or complicated secret — it is a matter of seeking the Father and letting Him lift you up, as He did with Elijah with those small instructions.

And here is what makes the difference: obedience to the Lord’s commandments is the path to this closeness. Only the obedient child can truly draw near to the Father. So, decide to live according to God’s Law today, and you will feel Him sustaining you, filling you with strength, and lifting you from discouragement to a renewed life. -Adapted from O. Chambers. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, today I see myself like Elijah, sometimes discouraged and carrying the weight of this world’s sin, feeling anxiety and discouragement. I confess that, many times, I look at myself and let this weight pull me down, forgetting that You offer me something simple, like the bread the angel brought to Elijah, to lift me up. I ask that You help me lift my eyes to You, trusting that Your presence covers me and renews my joy.

My Father, today I ask You to give me strength to draw near to You, knowing that the closer I am, the more Your strength will sustain me, bringing encouragement and peace to my heart. Teach me to seek You without complications, like Elijah who heard Your simple instructions, allowing You to lift me from discouragement with Your love and care. I ask that You guide me to live in obedience to Your commandments, for I know that this is how I find true closeness with You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for promising to sustain me and fill me with strength when I decide to live according to Your will, lifting me from discouragement to a renewed life as an obedient child. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the light that dispels my sadness. Your commandments are a call that lifts me up. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for…

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).

The worries of daily life draw you away from the presence of God. Silence your restless desires, feverish thoughts, and anxieties. In silence, seek the face of your Father, and the light of His countenance will shine upon you. He will open a secret place in your heart, and upon entering there, you will find Him. Everything around you will begin to reflect Him — everything will speak with Him, and He will respond through everything.

When you decide to obey the Creator without reservation, recognizing that you are merely a creature before Him, God builds this space of intimacy. In that place, He speaks with you, guides you, and pours out blessings until your cup overflows. This comes from obedience to His mighty Law.

So, calm the internal noise today. Surrender completely to the Word of God, and He will create this refuge in you, bringing peace, direction, and abundant blessings. -Adapted from E. B. Pusey. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, today I find myself lost in the whirlwind of daily worries, allowing restless desires, feverish thoughts, and anxieties to draw me away from Your sweet and calm presence. I confess that the internal noise often prevents me from seeking Your face in silence, but I long for the light of Your countenance that shines upon me, opening a secret place in my heart where I can find You. I ask that You help me silence my soul, so that everything around me reflects Your glory and I hear Your voice responding in every detail.

My Father, today I ask You to give me a heart that obeys without reservation, recognizing that I am merely a creature before You, so that You build this space of intimacy in me. Teach me to live according to Your mighty Law, for I know that it is through obedience that You speak with me, guide me, and pour out blessings until my cup overflows. I ask that You guide me to this secret place, where Your presence envelops and transforms me with Your love and direction.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for promising peace, direction, and abundant blessings to those who surrender completely to Your Word, creating in me a refuge where Your voice resonates. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the key that opens my heart. Your commandments are a whisper that guides me on a path of happiness. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial…

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; because, having stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him” (James 1:12).

The seductions of evil never appear as they are — they always come disguised. I have heard that, in a war, ammunition was hidden in piano boxes and messages in melon rinds. This is how the enemy operates: he deceives us, offering music when he brings explosives, promising life while delivering death, showing flowers that hide chains. He uses illusions and attractions to trap us, making everything seem good, when in reality it is destruction. “Things are not what they seem” — that is his game.

But how can we distinguish what comes from God from what comes from the destroyer? The answer lies in obedience to the Law of God. When you keep your mind steadfast on what He has revealed through His prophets and Jesus, you gain clarity. Faithfulness to the Word protects you from the devil’s falsehoods, because God does not allow His own to be deceived when they are aligned with Him.

So, stand firm in obedience today. Do not be swayed by beautiful promises or shiny disguises. Cling to the powerful Law of God, and you will be assured that the Lord will guard you from the enemy’s traps, guiding you safely to the true life He promises. -Adapted from J. Jowett. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, today I stand before You with an alert heart, impressed by the subtle way the enemy tries to deceive me, hiding destruction in shiny promises, like ammunition in piano boxes or death in melon rinds. I confess that sometimes I almost get lost in the disguises, attracted by flowers that hide chains, but Your voice calls me back, awakening me to the truth that not everything is as it seems. I want to seek You more, so that my eyes see beyond the illusions and my heart recognizes only what comes from You.

My Father, today I ask You to give me discernment to distinguish what comes from You from what comes from the destroyer, keeping my mind steadfast in obedience to Your Law, revealed by Your prophets and by Jesus. Teach me not to be swayed by beautiful promises or shiny attractions, but to align with Your Word, which gives me clarity and protection against the devil’s traps. I ask that You guide me in faithfulness, so that I am secure in You and not deceived by the enemy’s illusions.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for promising to guard Your own from the disguises of evil, guiding me safely to the true life when I cling to Your will with faithful obedience. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the light that unveils falsehoods. Your commandments are a song that guards me. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: And rising very early in the morning, while it was…

“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed” (Mark 1:35).

The Lord speaks, but it depends on us to listen. The essential thing is not to close our ears, to be open and not to stifle His voice. It is gentle, secret, an intimate whisper from heart to heart. But how can we hear it if we are full of the noise of the world — its vanities, worries, passions, and anxieties? If we get lost in the empty tumult, with its rivalries and distractions, God’s voice is muffled. We need to silence the noise to perceive what He says.

The secret to hearing amidst this confusion is to follow Jesus’ example: to isolate oneself. Not always physically, but at least in mind and heart, creating space for God. When you do this, you realize He asks for one simple thing: obedience. It was the same with the great ones of the Scriptures — when they listened and obeyed, heaven opened, bringing blessings, protection, and salvation.

So, turn off the noise today. Listen to the Lord’s whisper, like someone seeking a precious treasure. Decide to obey His voice, just as the faithful of the past did, and you will see God’s hand at work, guiding you to a life of peace and eternal purpose. -Adapted from E. B. Pusey. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits us.

Pray with me: Dear God, it is true that many times, I get lost in the empty tumult, full of distractions and rivalries, closing my ears to what You have to say to me. I acknowledge that I need to silence the noise, and I ask You to help me be open, creating space to hear You with clarity and attention.

My Father, today I ask You to give me the grace to follow Jesus’ example, isolating my mind and heart, even in the midst of confusion, to perceive Your voice calling me to obedience. Teach me to turn off the noise of the world and to seek You as one seeks a treasure, knowing that when I listen and obey, like the great ones of the Scriptures, heaven opens over me. I ask You to guide me to respond to Your whisper with a ready “yes,” so that I may live according to Your will and receive Your blessings.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for speaking to my heart, promising peace, protection, and eternal purpose to those who heed Your voice and obey faithfully, like the faithful of the past who saw Your hand at work. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the silence that quiets my soul, a gentle light that reveals Your whisper. Your commandments are steps that lead me to You, a beautiful sound of intimacy that echoes within my being. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “But you are a chosen generation, a purchased people” (1…

“But you are a chosen generation, a purchased people” (1 Peter 2:9).

God is calling a special people within the already called people, a select group from the church to be His bride, prepared for His coming. Consider Gideon: when he blew the trumpet, more than thirty thousand came, but they needed to be chosen. First, the test of courage reduced them to ten thousand; then, the test of prudence and determination left only three hundred. With this small group, God gave victory over the Midianites. Today, the Lord does the same, choosing those who stand out to live with the Father and Son for all eternity.

This select group does not follow the wave of disobedience we see in churches. While many ignore God’s commandments, these few swim against the tide, living differently, determined to honor the Lord. They are the ones who show courage and prudence, ready to carry God’s banner, trusting in His power to overcome, just like Gideon.

Do you want to be among these chosen ones, dwelling with the Lord? Then start today to truly love God, proving it with obedience to His holy Law. It is not about following the crowd, but about setting yourself apart for Him, living faithfully to His commands. Decide now, align yourself with God’s will, and prepare to be part of this special people He is calling. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits us.

Pray with me: Dear God, I confess that, many times, I lack the courage and determination to stand out and live fully for You. I recognize that You want to choose me among the few who honor Your name, and I ask that You help me to be part of this group, ready to live with You and Your Son for all eternity.

My Father, today I ask You to give me courage and prudence to swim against the current of disobedience I see around me, living differently, determined to carry Your banner with faithfulness. Teach me not to follow the wave of the church that ignores Your commandments, but to set myself apart for You, trusting in Your power to overcome, as Gideon trusted. I ask that You guide me to honor You with a life aligned to Your will, so that I may be counted among the chosen who serve You wholeheartedly.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for calling a special people, promising victory and eternity to those who stand out in obedience, living faithfully for You against all popular trends. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the test that refines my determination. Your commandments are banners I raise with courage, a praise of separation that resonates in my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Abraham obeyed on the same day, as God had told him”…

“Abraham obeyed on the same day, as God had told him” (Genesis 17:23).

“Abraham obeyed on the same day.” Here is the simple truth: immediate obedience is the only obedience that counts; to delay is pure disobedience. When God calls us to follow His Law, revealed by prophets and by Jesus, He is establishing a covenant: we fulfill our duty, and He responds with special blessings. There is no middle ground — to obey “on the same day,” like Abraham, is the way to receive what God promises.

Often, we procrastinate and then try to fulfill our duty as best we can. Of course, it is better than nothing, but do not be deceived: it is a mutilated, half-hearted obedience that never brings the full blessing God planned. A delayed duty is a lost opportunity, because God honors those who act quickly, who trust and obey without hesitation.

So, here is the challenge: when God speaks, obey immediately. Do not put off until tomorrow what He has asked of you today. Abraham did not wait, did not negotiate — he acted on the same day, and God’s blessings followed him. Decide to live this way, obeying God’s Law without delay, and you will see His hands move in your life with power and purpose that are priceless. -Adapted from C. G. Trumbull. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, I confess that often I offer a mutilated, half-hearted obedience instead of acting on the same day, like Abraham, who did not hesitate before Your call. Today, I recognize that to delay is disobedience, and I ask that You help me to obey Your Law immediately, trusting that this is how I receive the special blessings of Your covenant.

My Father, today I ask that You give me a heart ready to act quickly, without negotiating or waiting, following the example of Abraham who obeyed promptly and saw Your hand move in his life. Teach me not to put off until tomorrow what You ask of me today, so that I do not miss the opportunities You have prepared for me. I ask that You guide me to fulfill my duty without delay, grounding myself in Your Word revealed by prophets and by Jesus, so that I may live in the fullness of Your promises.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for honoring those who obey without hesitation, bringing power and purpose to their lives, as You did with Abraham in response to his immediate obedience. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the call that drives me to action. Your commandments are flames that ignite my urgency, a song of faithfulness that echoes in my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Then Joshua read all the words of the law, the…

“Then Joshua read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to what is written in the Book of the Law” (Joshua 8:34).

It is easy to want only the good parts, to embrace the blessings and skip the warnings. We like the light, but turn our faces from the lightning, count the promises, but cover our ears to the rebukes. We love the Master’s kindness, but flee from His severity. This is neither wise nor healthy—it leaves us spiritually weak, soft, without moral resistance, unable to face the evil day with firmness.

We need “all the words of the law,” blessings and curses, to strengthen us. To ignore God’s severities is to deprive ourselves of the courage that comes from facing sin and its consequences seriously. Without this, we lack fiber, a holy contempt for evil, and fall into lukewarmness. But when we accept God’s Law in its entirety, with its demands and promises, the Lord shapes us, gives us strength to resist, and delivers us from the weakness that paralyzes us.

And here is the turning point: by deciding to faithfully obey God’s Law, even in the face of challenges, you leave lukewarmness behind. It is this choice that brings God’s hand upon your life, with blessings that never end. To obey is not just to accept the easy, but to embrace all that He says, trusting that His Word—blessings and curses—sustains you. Do this today, and see how God lifts you up to live with power and purpose. -Adapted from J. Jowett. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, indeed, sometimes I want the good parts of Your Word, embracing the blessings and fleeing from the warnings, loving Your kindness, but turning my face from Your severity. I confess that, often, I cover my ears to the rebukes, and this leaves me spiritually weak, without resistance to face the evil day with firmness. I recognize that I need all Your words, and I ask that You help me to accept Your Law in its entirety, so that I may not be soft, but strong in You.

My Father, today I ask You to give me the courage to face the severities of Your Law, understanding that they strengthen me against sin and give me a holy contempt for evil. Teach me not to ignore Your demands, but to accept them along with Your promises, so that I may leave lukewarmness and be shaped by You with fiber and resistance. I ask that You guide me to obey faithfully, trusting that Your complete Word—blessings and curses—sustains me and delivers me from the weakness that paralyzes me.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for promising strength and endless blessings to those who obey Your will, lifting me up with power and purpose when I embrace all that You say. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the fire that forges my courage. Your commandments are a song of victory that resounds in my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

The Law of God: Daily Devotional: “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he…

“Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7)

“Cast all your anxiety on Him…” This is the direct invitation to bring everything to your Father. No matter what weighs on your heart, speak to Him, place it in His hands, and you will be freed from the confusion that the world throws upon you. Before facing any situation or making any decision, tell God, “bother Him” with it. This is how you find freedom from worry — by placing everything at the feet of the Lord and trusting that He cares for you.

Why does God allow us to go through difficult things? Because He wants you to recognize that you depend on Him, not just with beautiful words, but with real actions. He allows the storms to come to teach you to look to the Creator, to admit that you do not have all the answers. And when you decide to live in obedience to His commandments, something powerful happens: you position yourself as a humble creature, dependent on the Father, and He comes into action.

This is where everything changes. Whoever obeys the Law of God receives help, blessings, and is guided to Jesus for deliverance, protection, and salvation. Entrusting your anxieties to God and living according to His Word is what leads you to the peace that the world cannot give. So, stop carrying everything alone, cast your worries upon Him today, obey the Creator, and see how He transforms your life with His perfect care. -Adapted from R. Leighton. Until tomorrow, if the Lord permits.

Pray with me: Dear God, I often find myself carrying anxieties that weigh on my heart, trying to solve everything alone, instead of casting every concern upon You, as You invite me to do. I confess that, many times, I let the chaos of the world confuse me, forgetting to “bother” You with what I face before any decision. At this moment, I recognize that freedom from worry comes by placing everything at Your feet, and I ask that You help me to entrust every situation to You, trusting that You care for me.

My Father, today I ask that You give me the humility to see in difficult things a call to depend on You, not just with words, but with actions of obedience to Your commandments. Teach me to look to You in the storms, admitting that I do not have all the answers, and to live as a humble creature who recognizes their need for the Creator. I ask that You guide me to position myself in Your presence, knowing that, when I obey, You come into action with Your power and care in my life.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for promising help, blessings, and guidance to Jesus for deliverance, protection, and salvation to those who obey Your will, bringing me the peace that the world cannot give. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the refuge that relieves my anxieties, a gentle light that calms my heart. Your commandments are firm steps that lead me to You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
