Jesus knew that after Him men would arise teaching false doctrines that do not come from the Father. For this reason, He guaranteed that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance His words and examples, so that we would know what is true and what is false. The doctrine of “unmerited favor,” taught in many churches, is totally false and heretical, for it is not found in the four gospels. What exists in the gospels is the example of Jesus and the apostles on how Jews and gentiles should live. They all kept every commandment of God: the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual; do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)
