Daily Devotional: “For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children…

“For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just” (Genesis 18:19).

God looks for people in whom He can trust. That is what He declared about Abraham: “I know him”—such a strong statement of trust that it allowed all the promises made to Abraham to be fulfilled. God is absolutely faithful, and He desires that human beings also be steadfast, stable, and trustworthy.

This is exactly what true faith represents: a life of decision and consistency. God seeks hearts in which He can place the weight of His love, His power, and His faithful promises. But He only entrusts His blessings to those who truly obey Him and remain steadfast even when they do not understand everything.

Practical faithfulness begins with obedience to the mighty Law of God and the fulfillment of His wonderful commandments. When a soul is found faithful, God sets no limits to what He is willing to do for them. His trust rests upon those who walk in His ways with integrity, and not a single promise will fail to be fulfilled. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for being a God who desires to trust in me. You are completely faithful, and You expect me also to live with steadfastness and obedience before You.

Make me a stable, trustworthy person, determined to obey You in everything. May I not be led by emotions or inconsistencies, but may my life be founded on Your mighty Law and Your wonderful commandments. I want You to be able to say, “I know him,” as You said of Your servant Abraham.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for desiring partnership with me in Your work. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the firm foundation upon which I build my faithfulness. Your commandments are like pillars of truth, upon which I can live with steadfastness and peace. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy…

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart” (Psalm 24:3-4).

It is certainly not wrong to think and speak about heaven. It is natural to want to know more about the place where the soul will live for all eternity. If someone were moving to a new city, they would ask questions about the climate, the people, the environment—they would try to learn everything they could. And, after all, we are all about to move to another world, an eternal world where God reigns.

It makes sense, then, to seek to know this eternal destination. Who is already there? What is that place like? And above all, what is the way that leads to it? These questions are important, for we are not talking about a temporary trip, but a permanent dwelling. Heaven is real—and it is reserved for those who have been approved by the Lord.

But this approval does not come by assumptions or good intentions, but by obedience to the powerful Law of God and the fulfillment of His perfect commandments. Those who will inherit this glorious world are those who have chosen to live here according to the ways of the Creator. Seeking heaven requires living in a manner worthy before God, with faithfulness and reverence. -Adapted from D. L. Moody. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for having prepared an eternal place for those who love You and obey You. Heaven is real, and I want to be with You in that glorious world where You reign in holiness.

Place in my heart a true desire to know You more, to walk in Your ways, and to prepare myself seriously for eternity. I do not want to live distracted by passing things, but rather focused on Your will and steadfast in Your powerful Law and Your holy commandments.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for giving me hope of a life without end at Your side. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the map that guides the steps of the righteous to the gates of Your dwelling. Your perfect commandments are like sure signs pointing the way to heaven. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my…

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground” (Psalm 143:10).

The highest spiritual condition is that in which life flows spontaneously and naturally, like the deep waters of Ezekiel’s river, where the swimmer no longer struggles but is carried powerfully by the current. This is the state in which the soul does not need to force itself to do good—it moves in the rhythm of divine life, guided by impulses that come from God Himself.

But this spiritual freedom does not arise from a fleeting feeling. It is built with effort, discipline, and faithfulness. Deep spiritual habits begin, like any true habit, with a clear act of will. One must choose to obey—even when it is difficult—and repeat that choice until obedience becomes a natural part of one’s being.

The soul that desires to live this way must stand firm in the powerful Law of God and practice His beautiful commandments. It is through this repeated faithfulness that obedience ceases to be a constant effort and becomes a spontaneous movement of the soul. And when this happens, the person is led by the very Spirit of the Lord, living in communion with heaven. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for desiring that my spiritual life be firm, free, and full of Your presence. You do not call me to a life of empty striving, but to a walk in which obedience becomes joy.

Help me to choose what is right, even when it is difficult. Give me discipline to repeat what is good until it becomes part of who I am. I want to form in myself the holy habits that please You, and I want to stand each day more firmly in Your Law and Your commandments, for I know that in them is true life.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You because You Yourself strengthen me to obey. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the path where my soul learns to walk without fear. Your beautiful commandments are like the currents of a heavenly river, drawing me ever closer to You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever…

“Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever approaches him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Abram began his journey without knowing where God would lead him. He obeyed a noble calling, even without understanding what it would bring. He simply took a step, without demanding explanations or guarantees. This is true faith: doing God’s will in the present and entrusting the results to Him.

Faith does not need to see the whole path—it only needs to focus on the step God has commanded now. It is not about understanding the entire moral process, but about being faithful in the moral action that lies before you. Faith is immediate obedience, even without complete clarity, because it fully trusts the character of the Lord who commands.

This living faith is expressed in obedience to the powerful Law of God and His amazing commandments. Whoever truly believes obeys without hesitation. The faithful soul acts according to the will of the Creator and leaves direction and destiny in His hands. It is this trust that makes obedience light and the journey secure. -Adapted from John Jowett. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for calling me to walk with You, even when I cannot see the whole way. You do not reveal everything to me at once, but invite me to trust step by step.

Help me to live this true faith—not just in words, but in actions. Give me courage to obey even without understanding everything, and faithfulness to fulfill what You have already revealed to me in Your Law and Your commandments. May my heart not be distracted by the future, but remain firm in what You require of me today.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because You are worthy of all trust. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the firm path where I can step without fear. Your wonderful commandments are like lights shining at every step, guiding me with love. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my…

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer!” (Psalm 19:14).

There is a kind of silence that goes beyond not speaking ill of others: it is inner silence, especially regarding oneself. This silence requires a person to control their imagination—avoiding dwelling on what they have heard or said, or getting lost in fanciful thoughts, whether about the past or the future. It is a sign of spiritual progress when the mind learns to focus only on what God has placed before it in the present moment.

Scattered thoughts will always arise, but it is possible to prevent them from dominating the heart. It is possible to push them away, to reject the pride, irritation, or earthly desires that feed them. The soul that learns this kind of discipline begins to experience inner silence—not an emptiness, but a deep peace, where the heart becomes sensitive to the presence of God.

This mastery of the mind, however, is not achieved by human strength alone. It is born from obedience to the powerful Law of God and the practice of His perfect commandments. It is they that purify the thoughts, strengthen the heart, and create in each soul a space where the Creator can dwell. Whoever lives this way discovers an intimate communion with God that transforms everything. -Adapted from Jean Nicolas Grou. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You because You care not only about my actions, but also about my thoughts. You know everything that goes on inside me, and yet You call me to be with You.

Teach me to keep inner silence. Help me to control my mind, not to get lost in useless memories or empty desires. Give me focus on what truly matters—the obedience to Your will, the faithful service You have placed before me, and the peace that comes when I seek You sincerely.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because You draw me near, even when my mind wanders. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a wall of protection that guards my thoughts and purifies my heart. Your wonderful commandments are like open windows that let the light of heaven into my soul. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: I will exult with great joy because of your love, for you have seen…

“I will exult with great joy because of your love, for you have seen my affliction and have known the anguish of my soul” (Psalm 31:7).

God knows every human being completely. Not even the most hidden thought, the one a person avoids facing themselves, is concealed from His eyes. As someone begins to truly know themselves, they start to see themselves more as God sees them. And then, with humility, they begin to understand the Lord’s purposes in their life.

Every situation—every delay, every unfulfilled desire, every disappointed hope—has an exact reason and a proper place in God’s plan. Nothing is by chance. Everything is perfectly adjusted to the person’s spiritual state, including parts of their inner self that they did not even know until then. Until this understanding comes, it is necessary to trust in the Father’s goodness and accept, with faith, everything He allows.

This journey of self-knowledge must go hand in hand with obedience to God’s powerful Law and His wonderful commandments. For the more a soul submits to what the Lord commands, the more it aligns with the truth, the more it knows itself, and the closer it draws to the Creator. To know oneself, to obey faithfully, and to trust fully—this is the path to truly knowing God. -Adapted from Edward B. Pusey. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I praise You because You know me deeply. Nothing in me is hidden from You, not even the thoughts I try to avoid. You search my heart with perfection and love.

Help me to truly obey You, even when I do not understand Your ways. Give me humility to accept Your corrections, patience to wait for Your timing, and faith to trust that everything You allow is for my good. May each difficulty reveal something about myself that I need to transform, and may every step of obedience bring me closer to You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because even knowing every part of my being, You do not give up on me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the mirror that reveals my soul and guides me firmly in Your light. Your commandments are like golden keys that unlock the secrets of Your holiness and true freedom. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Your love is better than life! Therefore my lips will praise you…

“Your love is better than life! Therefore my lips will praise you” (Psalm 63:3).

When the heart is heavy, it reveals that God’s will is not yet the sweetest thing for the soul. It shows that true freedom, the kind that comes from obedience to the Father, has not yet been fully understood. It is a sign that divine sonship—the privilege of being called a child of the Most High—has not yet been lived in all its strength and joy.

If the soul accepted with faith everything that the Lord allows, even trials would become acts of obedience. Nothing would be in vain. Sincere consent to God’s plan transforms pain into offering, burden into surrender, struggle into communion. This surrender is only possible when the soul walks within the powerful Law of God and keeps His perfect commandments.

It is through this practical, daily, and loving obedience that the child of God experiences what it is to be truly free, truly happy. When someone accepts the Father’s will and lives according to His ways, even difficult moments become opportunities for worship. Obeying the Creator’s will is the only way to turn suffering into blessing, and burden into peace. -Adapted from Henry Edward Manning. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I acknowledge that, many times, my heart is saddened because I still love my own will more than Yours. Forgive me for every time I resist what is right and refuse to see Your will as the greatest good.

Teach me, O Father, to obey You even in trials. I want to surrender everything to You, not only the easy moments, but also the struggles and difficulties. May every suffering I face be transformed into obedience, and may my whole life be a living offering before Your altar. Give me a heart that joyfully consents to Your plan.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for calling me Your child and giving me the chance to live for You. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the key to true freedom, which breaks my chains and brings me closer to You. Your wonderful commandments are like sure steps on a path of peace and glory. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

“Then they asked him, ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’” (John 6:28).

God is a kind Father. He places each person exactly where He wants them to be and gives each one a special mission, which is part of the Father’s work. This work, when done with humility and simplicity, becomes something pleasant and meaningful. The Lord does not give impossible tasks—He always gives enough strength and sufficient understanding for a person to accomplish what He has determined.

When someone feels confused or exhausted, it is often because they have strayed from what God has commanded. The mistake is not in what the Father asked, but in how the person is dealing with it. God wants His children to serve Him with joy and peace in their hearts. And the truth is that no one can truly please God if they are in constant rebellion or discontent. Obedience to the divine will is the path to true satisfaction.

Therefore, if the soul desires to please the Father and find purpose, it must lovingly obey the powerful Law of God and follow His beautiful commandments. It is by living according to the Creator’s precepts that daily work gains meaning, the heart finds rest, and communion with the Most High becomes real. The peace that comes from God is reserved for those who walk in His ways. -Adapted from John Ruskin. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for being a kind Father, who cares for me and gives me tasks according to Your will. You know what is best for me, and You always grant me strength and understanding to fulfill what You expect.

Forgive me when I complain, become confused, or stray from what You have commanded. Teach me to do everything with humility and joy, remembering that it is for You that I work. May I never forget that obedience to Your Law and keeping Your commandments are the sure path to pleasing You and living in peace.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for each day of life, for every mission You entrust to me, and for every teaching that comes from Your mouth. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a light that guides my path and gives meaning to my existence. Your commandments are like heavenly seeds that blossom in joy and truth within me. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: By his own decision he gave us birth through the word of truth…

“By his own decision he gave us birth through the word of truth, so that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created” (James 1:18).

When someone lives fully in the present moment, with an open heart and free from selfishness, they are in the best possible position to hear the voice of God. It is in this state of sincere attention and surrender that the Creator speaks. The Lord is always willing to communicate with those who come before Him with humility and sensitivity.

Instead of getting lost in the past or worrying about the future, the soul should position itself clearly in the now, attentive to what God wants to show. It is in this present moment that the Father reveals the steps that draw the soul closer to Him. Those who listen and obey His powerful Law receive the privilege of entering into intimate communion with the Creator.

And it is in this intimacy that the deepest blessings are hidden: true peace, sure direction, strength to obey, and courage to live. Whoever surrenders to the moment with faith and sincerity finds God there—ready to transform, guide, and save. The path to Him begins with a heart willing to listen. -Adapted from Thomas Cogswell Upham. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for this chance to live one more day before You. You are a present God, who speaks to those who truly seek You. Teach me to set aside distractions and to live each moment attentive to what You want to reveal.

Help me to be completely open to Your touch, with my thoughts and feelings turned to Your will. I do not want to live in the past, nor anxious for the future—I want to find You here, now, where You are ready to guide and bless me. Touch my heart and show me the path that draws me closer to You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for being such a close Father, so attentive, so generous with those who seek You. You do not hide Your ways from those who surrender sincerely. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the beacon that shines in the present and leads to Your heart. Your commandments are like sacred gates that open to us the riches of communion with You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Daily Devotional: And the incomparable greatness of His power toward us…

“And the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty strength” (Ephesians 1:19).

A root planted in the best soil, with the ideal climate and receiving everything that the sun, air, and rain can offer, still has no guarantee of reaching perfection. However, the soul that sincerely seeks everything God desires to give is on a much surer path to growth and fullness. The Father is always willing to pour out life and peace upon those who seek Him sincerely.

No sprout stretching toward the sun has as much certainty of a response as the soul that turns to the Creator. God, being the source of all good, communicates with power and love to those who truly desire to partake in His presence. Where there is sincere aspiration and living obedience, there God manifests Himself. He does not ignore those who seek Him with faith and humility.

Therefore, more important than the environment around us is the direction of the heart. When a soul bows before the will of God and decides to follow His mighty Law, it receives life from above. The Lord’s commandments are paths of light for all who trust in Him. To obey sincerely is to open oneself to everything the Creator desires to pour out. -Adapted from William Law. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Lord my God, I thank You for being so accessible and so ready to receive me. While many things in life are uncertain, Your faithfulness never fails. If I seek You sincerely, I know You will come to meet me with love and power.

I want my heart to desire Your presence more than anything in this world. Teach me to stretch my soul toward You, just as the plant stretches toward the sun. Give me an obedient spirit that loves Your ways and trusts in Your commandments. I do not want to live on the margins of Your will.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for never rejecting a sincere soul. You communicate with those who love and obey You, and I desire to live this way. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is like the rain that penetrates the soil and gives abundant life. Your commandments are like rays of sunshine that warm, guide, and strengthen the path of the righteous. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
