Many do not like the idea that God chose only one people for Himself, but the reality is that the Lord acts according to His will, in the time and manner He decides. Both the Old Testament and the words of Jesus in the Gospels affirm that there is no relationship with God outside of Israel, the nation He set apart for Himself and sealed with the eternal covenant of circumcision. God chose this path so that each person could choose between life and eternal death. Gentiles can join Israel and be blessed by God, as long as they follow the same laws given to Israel. The Father sees the faith and courage of the gentile; He pours out His love on him, unites him to Israel, and sends him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. | The gentile who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds firmly to my covenant, I will also bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
The serpent does not need to declare open war against Jesus to convince multitudes to follow the path of disobedience and eternal death; it only creates teachings in churches that did not come from the lips of Christ in the four gospels. Its masterpiece was the heresy of “unmerited favor”: a fatal deception that makes man believe he can despise the powerful and eternal Law of God and still be received in heaven with kisses and hugs. Jew or gentile, the true follower of Christ lives as His apostles and disciples lived. All of them obeyed the commandment of the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 9)
God did not strike Nadab and Abihu down for an endless list of sins, but for treating what was holy with contempt. And does today’s church not do the same when it ignores the powerful and unchanging Law of God? The Blood of the Lamb was not given to cover those who know the commandments but disobey; it was given to purify those who seek to obey the Father in everything. Jews or gentiles, we can only be sure of salvation if we live as Jesus and His apostles lived, obeying the entire holy Law of God: the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “Whoever says: I know Him, but does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1 John 2:4)
The end has already come, and this is the message of the end: to love God with all your heart and obey every commandment He gave us through the prophets in the Old Testament and through Jesus in the four Gospels. This was the way of life of the apostles and disciples of Christ, total faithfulness to the Law of the Father and to the Son whom He sent. Any leader who brings another message, no matter how convincing it may seem, does not speak for the Lord. On the day of judgment, telling the Judge that you only followed your leader will be useless. The only valid defense will be obedience. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “Ah! My people! Those who guide you mislead you and destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)
It is frightening to see how many Christians base themselves on the behavior of the wayward early church to justify their own disobedience. As if the fact that men abandoned commandments such as forbidden meats, the Sabbath, circumcision, the beard, and the tzitzits were a reason for us to do the same. God never told us to copy rebels. He told us to follow His Son. And the Son received the Law from the Father, lived every commandment, and taught His apostles and disciples to do the same. Those who rejected the Law after that only proved the influence of the serpent, not a new path for us. Salvation is individual. It is astonishing to hear some leaders say that the early church stopped obeying God’s laws after Jesus ascended to the Father and that, therefore, we should also stop obeying. Since when did the Creator command us to imitate the disobedient? Where in the Scriptures does the Lord command us to follow men who ignore His Law? Jesus obeyed everything, and the apostles and disciples who learned directly from Him obeyed everything. Human rebellion is not a model; the Messiah is the model. At the final judgment there will be no forgiveness for these false teachers, nor for those who accepted their teachings against the powerful Law of the Most High. Salvation is individual. Some believe that Jesus founded a new religion, different from the one in which He was born and lived. But this is false! Jesus never separated Himself from the faith of His family and His people. He was born, lived, and died as a Jew faithful to the Law of the Father. When reading the four gospels, it is clear that Jesus never sought to form a new community outside the religion of Israel, His focus was to restore obedience within it. The plan of salvation that is taught to gentiles today did not come from Jesus, but from men who arose years after His ascension, and therefore it is false. We must live as the apostles and disciples lived: faithfully obeying all the commandments of God. The devil is a master at using deceptive words that seem good and holy, but lead to destruction. As soon as Jesus returned to the Father, the serpent convinced the gentiles that Christ had founded a religion for them, with new doctrines, traditions, and, as expected, without the laws of Israel. The truth is that Jesus never said He came to found a new religion. Any gentile can join Israel and be blessed by God, as long as he follows the same laws that the Lord gave to Israel. The Father sees the faith and courage of this gentile, despite the difficulties. He pours out His love on him, unites him to Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. The only possible way to show God that you love Him above all things is by seeking to obey each of His powerful commandments, without excluding any. Many repeat the phrase “to love God above all things” as if it were just a beautiful feeling, but ignore that this love is proven exclusively through obedience. Whoever claims to love the Most High but rejects the laws that He revealed through the prophets before the Messiah and by the Messiah Himself is only deceiving themselves. The Father does not receive words; He receives faithfulness. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority. Obey while you are still alive. | Not everyone who says to me: Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
It is impossible to have a true understanding of Jesus’ teachings without being in obedience to God’s laws, just as the apostles and disciples were when He taught. Trying to learn something from the teachings of the Son while living in declared disobedience to the laws of the Father is illusory. There is no real spiritual progress in disobedience. Anyone who truly wants to grow in knowledge and intimacy with the Father and the Son, and break out of stagnation, will have to distance themselves from the majority and begin to obey all of God’s laws, given to the prophets in the Old Testament, just as Jesus’ apostles did. Access to the Throne will be unlocked, and knowledge, blessings, and salvation will flow. | “The Lord guides with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his requirements.” (Psalm 25:10)
