Salvation lies in living exactly as Jesus’ original apostles lived. Jesus was with them all the time, teaching them how to live in a way that pleased the Father and achieved salvation. They believed that Jesus was the Messiah sent by the Father and obeyed all the laws that God gave to Israel: they kept the Sabbath, were circumcised, wore the tzitzit, did not consume unclean foods, and maintained their beards. If we want to live like the apostles and be saved like them, we must follow these same commandments. At no point in the Gospels did Jesus teach that gentiles could live differently. Obey while you are alive. | “I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” John 17:6.
