Many in the church like the idea of having an intimate relationship with God, hearing His voice clearly, being guided by Him, receiving His blessings, and ultimately ascending with Jesus. These are great desires, but they believe they can achieve all this without obeying the laws that God gave for His people to follow. Unfortunately, things do not work that way. As long as someone does not seek to faithfully follow all of the Lord’s laws in the Old Testament, God will not send them to the Son, as He does not consider them part of His people. All of Jesus’ apostles and disciples were faithful to God’s laws, and we, Gentiles, are neither superior nor inferior to them. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey God’s Law! | “All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.” Psalm 25:10
