It is impossible to have a true understanding of Jesus’ teachings without being in obedience to God’s laws, just as the apostles and disciples were when He taught. Trying to learn something from the Son’s teachings while living in declared disobedience to the Father’s laws is illusory. There is no real spiritual progress in disobedience. He who truly desires to grow in knowledge and intimacy with the Father and the Son, and get out of stagnation, will have to distance himself from the majority and start obeying all of God’s laws, given to the prophets in the Old Testament, just as Jesus’ apostles did. Access to the Throne will be unlocked, and knowledge, blessings, and salvation will flow. | “All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.” Psalm 25:10
