The prophets of the Old Testament, such as Abraham, Moses, Jeremiah, and Isaiah, were the human beings with whom God communicated most directly. Through these faithful servants, He gave us instructions on how to be blessed and forgiven of our sins through the sacrifice of the Lamb. However, churches teach that the laws God gave through these messengers are no longer valid, and claim that those who insist on obeying these laws have rejected Christ and will go to hell. Jesus never taught such a thing, but people prefer to live in the illusion that, even while openly disobeying God, they will be welcomed into heaven with smiles and hugs. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey while you are alive. | “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7
