The focus of God the Father and Jesus has always been Israel, the nation that God set apart for His honor and glory. All promises of blessings were destined for Israel. The few times God blessed other peoples were as a reward for helping Israel, as happened with the midwives in Egypt. To deny this is to deny the facts clearly revealed in the Old Testament and Jesus’ words in the Gospels. Any Gentile can join Israel and be blessed by God, as long as they follow the same laws that the Lord gave to Israel. The Father sees the faith and courage of this Gentile, despite the difficulties. He pours out His love on them, unites them with Israel, and leads them to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense because it is true. | “As the laws of the sun, the moon, and the stars are unchangeable, so also the descendants of Israel will never cease to be a nation before God forever.” Jeremiah 31:35-37
