“The mindset of the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).

Keep yourself in peace. True peace does not come from human effort, but from letting go of what disturbs. It is like a glass of agitated water: if we leave it still for a while, everything begins to settle and clarity returns. As children of God, we do not need to live worried — unless the root of this unrest lies in some unresolved area of sin. If that is the case, take courage: firmly decide to abandon that situation. Peace will come as a consequence of that decision.

This peace is not something we build with our own effort, but rather a gift that naturally blossoms when we align our lives with the Lord’s will. God is a loving Father, and He delights in filling with peace those who choose to live according to His ways.

Obeying the powerful Law of God is the key — not only to peace but to a life full of blessings. The Lord takes pleasure in rewarding the obedient, and none of His promises fail. The soul that lives in obedience does not need to fear tomorrow, nor carry guilt from the past. It walks lightly, knowing it is walking under the protection and favor of its Father. And this, without a doubt, is the deepest peace one can experience. -Adapted from Jeanne Guyon. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, You teach me that peace flourishes when I stop struggling with my own hands and simply let go of what disturbs me. Like a glass of agitated water, the soul only calms when it rests in You. Thank you for reminding me that if there is something that takes away my peace, it may be a call from You to resolve what I have not yet surrendered to You. Give me courage to do this with sincerity and firmness.

My Father, today I ask You to help me let go of worries that do not come from You and to face any sin with honesty. May I hide nothing from You, but surrender everything, trusting that Your forgiveness is certain and Your peace is real. Fill my heart with this peace that only You can give — not a fleeting peace, but a peace that remains, that grows, that transforms. Teach me to live according to Your will, knowing that this is the only way to experience true rest.

Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You because Your heart rejoices in filling Your obedient children with peace. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is like a tranquil river flowing through my being, washing away all unrest and bringing security. Your commandments are like deep roots that anchor the soul in the soil of Your love, making each step light, secure, and full of hope. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
