“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the power that saves me, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2).
What we see around us are just shadows; the true essence is in what cannot be seen. God the Father and Son, the foundation of our faith, do not appear before our eyes, but they are real and firm. Imagine a tall lighthouse in the middle of the ocean. It seems to float on the waves, but underneath there is a hidden rock, strong and unshakeable, holding everything in place. Even with storms raging, I would sleep peacefully in that lighthouse because it is anchored on the rock—much safer than any fancy building constructed on sand.
Look, here is the secret: when we choose to obey the powerful Law of God, He plants us on that solid rock. It’s as if it becomes our home, a place of protection against the enemy’s arrows. There, blessings never cease to arrive! No matter how much the waves crash, we are secure because the foundation is Him.
Beloved brothers, decide today to walk with God with a faithful heart. He places you on this indestructible rock, where you can rest in peace. The storms come, but they do not knock you down. Pray with me: Dear God, I confess that sometimes I am deceived by appearances, seeking security in what is temporary, but I want to sleep peacefully in Your presence, anchored in You, safer than any construction on the uncertain sand of this life. I ask that You help me see beyond the visible, trusting in Your unshakeable foundation.
My Father, today I ask You to give me a heart that chooses to obey Your powerful Law, so that You plant me on this solid rock, my house of protection against the enemy’s attacks. Teach me to live there, where blessings flow without stopping, secure even when storms rage around me. I ask that You guide me to this security, grounding me in You, so that I can withstand the waves with the peace that comes from Your love.
Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for placing me on an indestructible rock, promising security and joy to those who walk with You with an open heart, grounded in Your will. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the reason for my peace. I cannot stop thinking about Your beautiful commandments. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
