“And the servant who had received only one talent said: I was afraid, went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you” (Matthew 25:25).
Dear ones, if a Christian stumbles, they should not wallow in guilt. With humility, they rise, shake off the dust, and move forward with a fresh joy in their heart. Even if they fall a hundred times in one day, there is no room for despair. They look up, call on God, and trust in the never-ending mercy. Those who truly love the Lord’s path hate evil, yes, but love even more what is good and just. The focus is on living rightly, more than just avoiding wrong.
Friends, pay attention: with courage in their heart, the Christian does not tremble at the risks of serving God. The Lord’s commandments were given to be lived, all of them! But God, who knows us inside and out, knows we are fragile. That’s why He sent Jesus, the Lamb, whose precious blood washes us from all sin. Isn’t that beautiful? When we fall, we have a Savior who lifts us up and cleanses us, ready to start anew.
Here is the key: by deciding to wholeheartedly obey the powerful Law of God, He fills us with strength, understanding, and a persistence that does not give up. It’s not about being perfect, but about trusting in Him and moving forward. So, if you fell today, get up! God is with you, giving you everything you need to reach the end with a smile on your face! -Adapted from Jean Grou. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.
Pray with me: Dear God, I don’t want to wallow in guilt, but rather rise with humility, shake off the dust, and continue with renewed joy in my heart. I confess that sometimes I lean towards despair, but I want to look to You, call Your name, and trust in Your never-ending mercy. Help me to love Your path, hating evil, but loving even more what is good and just, focusing on living rightly with a heart full of You.
My Father, today I ask You to give me courage in my heart so as not to tremble at the risks of serving You, living all Your commandments with boldness and faith. Teach me to remember that I am fragile, that You know me and sent Jesus, the Lamb, whose precious blood washes me from all sin, lifting me up with each fall. I ask You to guide me to rest in this beautiful truth, starting anew with the certainty that my Savior cleanses and sustains me to move forward.
Oh, Most Holy God, I adore and praise You for filling me with strength, understanding, and persistence when I decide to obey Your will, promising to be with me every step, even in my failures. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your powerful Law is the hand that lifts me. Your commandments are eternal delights. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
