“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you” (Isaiah 43:2).
The Lord does not open the way in advance nor remove all obstacles before we reach them. He acts at the right moment, when we are on the edge of need. This teaches us to trust step by step, day by day. Instead of being tormented by future difficulties, we are called to walk by faith in the present, knowing that God’s hand will be extended when we need it.
This trust becomes solid when we choose to walk in the magnificent commandments of the Most High. They teach us to move forward without fear, to take the next step even when the path still seems hidden. Obedience transforms each uncertain step into an experience with God’s power, showing that His promises are fulfilled at the right time.
So, do not worry about the waters before you reach them. Faithfully follow the Lord’s path, and when you face the challenge, you will see His hand sustaining you. The Father guides the obedient safely, revealing the way at the right moment and preparing them for eternal life in Jesus. Adapted from J. R. Miller. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.
Pray with me: Beloved Father, I praise You because You are faithful at every stage of my journey. Teach me to trust in Your timing and not to fear the challenges of tomorrow.
Lord, help me to walk according to Your magnificent commandments, step by step, without anxiety, knowing that Your hand will be with me at every obstacle.
Oh, dear God, I thank You because, when I come to the waters, You are there to sustain me. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is a firm path beneath my feet. Your commandments are beacons that illuminate each step. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
