“The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in, from now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:8).

The journey of the faithful servant is neither easy nor comfortable. Many times, the path seems arid, full of invisible traps, insecurities, and moments when the heart wavers. Even so, the Lord does not abandon us in the midst of the journey. He sustains us with constant care, like an attentive Father who notices every stumble even before the fall happens.

It is in this daily care that we understand the value of the Creator’s sublime commandments. God only reveals His plans and grants direction to those who choose to obey. The Father blesses and sends the obedient to the Son for forgiveness and salvation, for obedience is not optional—it is the way of preservation.

Therefore, today we are called to decide to walk with attention and faithfulness. It is not human strength that keeps us standing, but the daily choice to obey what God has commanded. When we follow the Lord’s extraordinary commandments, we are guarded, sustained, and led with safety. Thus, we are blessed and prepared to be sent to Jesus. Adapted from J.C. Philpot. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows.

Pray with me: Lord, I acknowledge that many times I feel weak and insecure on the path I am walking. Even so, I trust that You see every step and know every danger around me. Sustain me when I see no way out and strengthen my heart.

Give me strength to obey even when the way seems difficult. Guide my decisions, steady my feet, and do not let me stray from Your will. May my life reflect constant faithfulness, even on the most arid days.

Oh, beloved Lord, I thank You for caring for me at every stage of the journey. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is like eternal arms that sustain me when I am about to fall. Your commandments are safe tracks that lead my soul through the desert. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
