Daily Devotional: “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).

“Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8).

If God has revealed Himself to us as the One who sanctifies us, it is so that we may help others to know Him as their Sanctifier. If He has become our Healer, it is because there are sick and suffering lives to whom we can bring blessings of healing. In the same way, if the hope of the Lord’s coming has become precious to us, it would be worse than ingratitude to hide this testimony and keep it only for our personal comfort.

Just as we have received blessings by beginning to obey His holy commandments, we must also teach others to obey them, so that they too may experience these blessings. God does not call us to keep His promises only for ourselves, but to share this truth with those He places in our path, helping them to find the same peace, hope, and joy that we have received.

The message of salvation was given to us, but not exclusively for us. It is a treasure to be shared with everyone to whom the Lord sends us. Obeying God’s call is more than living His Word; it is also passing it on, so that others may know the greatness of His love and the faithfulness of His promises. -Adapted from A. B. Simpson. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Dear God, I thank You for the blessings and revelations You have poured out upon my life. I recognize that everything I receive from You is not just for my comfort, but to be shared with those You place in my path. Give me a generous heart and a willingness to help others know You as their Sanctifier, Healer, and Savior.

My Father, today I ask You to enable me to share Your truth with love and courage. Teach me to share the hope, peace, and joy I find in obeying Your commandments, so that other lives may also be transformed by Your goodness. Help me to be faithful in testifying to Your greatness, leading others to the path of obedience and communion with You.

Oh, Most Holy God, I worship and praise You for being a Father who not only blesses us, but calls us to be channels of Your blessing to the world. Thank You for entrusting me with the privilege of sharing Your Word. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law always keeps me in tune with You. I cannot tell which of Your commandments I love most, for they are all just and lovely. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
