“For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
In this strange world we live in, people try everything and rely on all sorts of things. Some trust in their own name, while others place their confidence in the name of someone else. However, everything that man does in his own name will end in ruin. Without God, our intelligence deceives us and our power confuses us. And trusting in the name of another man is even more flawed. No matter how strong someone may seem, he is nothing but flesh, and to dust he shall return.
We must trust only in God and in Jesus. The Lord’s promises are intended for all who rely exclusively on Him, and this trust is proven when the soul decides to live in obedience to His commandments. Obedience is not only a sign of faith, but also the foundation of a life aligned with the divine will, which allows us to experience the true strength and guidance of God.
Whoever relies on the Lord will never be forsaken, and everything they do will prosper, as it is written: “He is like a tree planted by streams of water… whatever he does prospers” (Psalm 1:3). True prosperity does not come from trusting in men or in ourselves, but from walking in obedience and faith in the only One who can sustain and guide our lives. -Adapted from Henry Müller. Pray with me: Dear God, I recognize that in this confusing and unstable world, I am often tempted to trust in my own strength or in that of others. However, I know that without You, nothing I do can prosper. Help me to place all my trust in You and in Your Son, Jesus, for only in You do I find true direction, strength, and security.
My Father, today I ask You to strengthen my faith so that I may trust fully in Your promises. Give me the wisdom to obey Your commandments and align my heart with Your will. May my life be like a tree planted by the waters, always nourished by Your presence and able to bear fruit at the right time, for Your glory.
Oh, faithful Lord, I praise You because those who trust in You are never forsaken. Thank You for being my sustenance, my fortress, and the source of true prosperity. Teach me to live each day with the certainty that, as I walk with You in obedience and faith, I am always safe in Your hands. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law has a reserved place in my heart. Your commandments are like dew that refreshes my soul in the mornings of the desert. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
