“Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Effective prayer is not empty repetition nor an attempt to persuade God, but a sincere search accompanied by true faith. When there is a specific matter, pray until you believe—until your heart is filled with the certainty that the Lord has heard. Then, give thanks in advance, even if the answer has not yet manifested. Prayer made without faith weakens, but prayer born of firm trust transforms the heart.

This firm trust is born from a life aligned with the magnificent commandments of the Most High. Faith is not positive thinking, but the certainty that God rewards the obedient child. Those who walk in the Lord’s will pray with confidence, because they know their life is on the right track and that His promises are for those who honor Him.

Thus, when you kneel, do so with obedience in your heart. The prayer of the obedient has power, brings peace, and opens doors. The Father hears and answers at the right time, preparing you to receive not only the answer, but also the spiritual growth that comes from communion with the Son. Adapted from C. H. Pridgeon. Until tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.

Pray with me: Beloved Father, I place myself before You with a heart eager to pray with genuine faith. Teach me to wait and to give thanks even before I see the answer.

Lord, help me to walk faithfully in Your magnificent commandments so that my prayer may be strong and constant, and my faith firm and unshakable.

Oh, dear God, I thank You because You reward the obedient child and hear the sincere prayer. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the foundation of my confidence. Your commandments are the safe path toward which my prayers are directed. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
