“But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the eternal King” (Jeremiah 10:10).
The human heart has never found satisfaction in false gods. No pleasure, wealth, or philosophy can fill the soul that is empty of the Creator’s presence. The atheist, the deist, the pantheist—all may build systems of thought, but none of them offer real hope. When the waves of affliction and disappointment rise with force, they have no one to call upon. Their beliefs do not answer, do not comfort, do not save. The Scriptures have already declared: “They will cry out to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they will not save them in the time of their trouble.” That is why we can affirm with conviction: their rock is not like our Rock.
And this security is experienced only by those who follow the majestic Law of God and His extraordinary commandments. The obedient soul is never without direction, because the Father reveals His plans to the faithful and sends only these to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. While idols fail and human philosophies collapse, the path of obedience remains firm and illuminated. It was so with the prophets, it was so with the disciples, and it remains so today.
Therefore, hold fast to the Lord with faithfulness. Abandon everything that cannot save and draw near to the One who lives and reigns forever. My God, keep me from all that is false and empty. Teach me to live in obedience and to reject any path that takes me away from Your truth. May Your commandments always be my choice.
Oh, beloved Lord, I thank You because Your Law keeps me firm when everything around me fails. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the Rock that sustains my soul.
