“But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26).
The Spirit of God was sent to guide us into all truth. If we surrender to His direction and allow Him to lead our steps, we will not walk in darkness. Many pains and disappointments could be avoided if we would only listen to His voice and obey His instructions. It was the lack of this submission that led many, like Lot and David, down paths of anguish—not because God abandoned them, but because they stopped following the perfect guide the Lord had sent.
Obedience to the magnificent Law of God—the same splendid commandments that Jesus and His disciples kept—opens the way for the action of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit does not dwell in the rebellious heart, but in the soul that loves and fulfills the holy instructions of the Father. It is through obedience that we learn to discern His voice and to walk securely, without falling into the enemy’s traps.
The Father blesses and sends the obedient to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. Let the Holy Spirit be your daily counselor, and you will walk in wisdom, light, and victory at every step. Adapted from D. L. Moody. See you tomorrow, if the Lord allows us.
Pray with me: Beloved Lord, teach me to hear the voice of Your Spirit and to faithfully follow the direction that comes from You. I do not want to walk according to my own will, but according to Your counsel.

Oh, dear Father, I thank You for granting me Your Holy Spirit as guide and counselor. Your beloved Son is my eternal Prince and Savior. Your mighty Law is the perfect map that leads to life.
