The serpent showed how cunning it was in the Garden of Eden by managing to convince Eve to disobey a single commandment of God. But the devil’s true masterpiece was not in Eden. It happened right after Jesus returned to heaven, when the enemy inspired talented men to create the false doctrine that the Messiah came to save the gentiles without the need to obey the commandments that God gave us through the prophets of the Old Testament. Whether in Eden, in Israel, or anywhere in the world, the objective is always the same: to disobey God. This lie has led millions of gentiles away from the true path of salvation that Jesus and His disciples taught and lived. Many Christians read the Old Testament, are enchanted by the promises of protection and blessings, but ignore the condition that God has always placed before them: obedience to His powerful and eternal Law. They want to reap without sowing, want inheritance without faithfulness, want the Lamb without surrendering to the Father. This will not happen. It is obedience that leads to blessings and forgiveness. Jesus taught obedience to the commandments of the Father to the apostles and disciples and, like them, whether Jews or gentiles, we must keep the Sabbath, circumcision, the forbidden meats, the tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord to inherit eternal life. Salvation is individual; obey while you are alive. | “If only they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, so that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!” (Deuteronomy 5:29)
The title of “worshiper” did not come from God. This idea that there is a special group in churches whose mission is to ”worship” serves only to hide the disregard for the orders of the Most High. Many sing and raise their hands, but do not follow the commandments that the Lord revealed to the prophets in the Old Testament and to Jesus in the four Gospels. The true worshiper demonstrates this through obedience. He keeps the Law that God gave to His chosen people and, through this faithfulness, the Father includes him in the eternal covenant and sends him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. If an individual were to say in church: “I do not deserve to be saved!”, but sought to faithfully obey the laws that God gave to His prophets and to Jesus, he would be an excellent example of humility, worthy of being imitated. But in practice, the majority in the church repeat this phrase often, while obeying God’s Law is the last thing on their minds. In their understanding, distorted by the serpent, they believe that precisely because they do not deserve it, they can ignore God’s laws and still reach heaven. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. The end has already come! Obey while you are alive. | “You have commanded your precepts, that we should keep them diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
The lake of fire will be the bitter confirmation that God is not to be trifled with. On that Day, millions of Christians will try to blame their leaders for having been taught to ignore the powerful and eternal Law of God, but no excuse will stand before the Most High. Jesus never said, in the four gospels, that He was creating a religion for gentiles in which obedience would be unnecessary. There is only one plan of salvation, and Christ demonstrated it by forming apostles and disciples in total obedience. Jews or gentiles, we must live as they did, keeping the Sabbath, circumcision, the forbidden meats, the tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Nowhere in the Old Testament are we told that God gave us His Law with no margin for error, or that any deviation, no matter how small, would be unforgivable. We can see this clearly by observing that none of the great biblical characters was perfect, and God did not abandon them for their failures. The idea that obeying the Law requires perfection is a lie of the serpent, created right after the ascension of Christ, to divert gentiles from obedience to God. Jesus, the Lamb of God, was sacrificed to forgive those who fail but sincerely seek to follow the laws given by the prophets. Salvation is individual. The gospel of Christ brings both bad and good news for us, gentiles. The bad news is that Jesus made it clear that He came only for His people, the nation of Israel, set apart by God with an everlasting covenant and sealed with circumcision. The good news is that anyone, anywhere in the world, can join Israel and have unrestricted access to Jesus. To join Israel, it is enough to follow the same laws that the Father gave to the nation of which Jesus is a part. The Father observes our faith and courage, even in the face of great challenges, and leads us to the Son. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense because it is the true one. There has never been a time when gentiles were “outside” the plan of salvation; what has always existed is a single path of inclusion: joining Israel by obeying the powerful Law of God, because neither Jew nor gentile is washed by the Blood of the Lamb if they do not seek to obey the Father who sent the Son. The apostles and disciples, who learned from Jesus and not from men who appeared years later, obeyed all the Lord’s commandments: they kept the Sabbath, did not eat unclean meats, were circumcised, did not shave their beards, wore tzitzits, and remained faithful to the other laws revealed by the prophets. Do not follow the majority; follow only Jesus. The idea that gentiles cannot contribute to their own salvation is the serpent’s greatest success since the day it managed to deceive Adam and Eve, leading them to disobey God with lies disguised as truths. Neither the prophets nor Jesus ever taught such nonsense. If no one could do anything to please God and be sent to Jesus, the Lord’s commandments would not even exist. One of the main functions of God’s Law is to separate the faithful from the unfaithful. By obeying, we show God how much we desire to be with Him in heaven, and by observing our obedience, the Father sends us to the Son. Salvation is individual. The number of gentiles who had contact with Jesus can be counted on one hand. In one situation, some gentiles wanted to speak with Jesus, and it was necessary for two apostles to take the message to Him, and even then we do not know if Jesus received them. The point is that the idea that Jesus founded a religion for the gentiles has no basis in the gospels; it is an invention of men. The gentile who wishes to approach Jesus must join Israel, His people, which happens when he follows the same laws that the Father gave to Israel. The Father observes his faith and courage and sends him to the Son.
