We have never been so close to the end of this world as we are now. The signs are many and everywhere, and the speed at which they happen, one after another, leaves no doubt that the end is upon us. God is sounding the final warnings about the need to faithfully obey the holy and eternal Law He gave us in the Old Testament to be sent to Jesus and achieve salvation. For centuries, God has endured the church’s contempt for His Law, but now the shaking and the harvest begin. No Gentile will be taken to heaven if they do not seek to follow the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed, for there is no other way. | “You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.” Psalms 119:4
Disobeying God’s Law is rebelling against Him. The devil started this rebellion in heaven, passed through Eden, the Jews, and now has reached us, the Gentiles. Many teach that if we believe in Christ, disobeying the Law does not affect salvation, but Jesus never taught such a thing. This lie is part of the devil’s plan against the Gentiles, started soon after Jesus returned to the Father. People forget that the serpent is determined to convince all of humanity of the same lie it used with Adam and Eve: that nothing bad happens to those who disobey God. Salvation is individual. No Gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “Ah, my people! Your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.” Isa 3:12
The expression “unmerited favor” does not exist in the Scriptures; it is a theological jargon invented after Jesus’ ascension, with the intent to separate the Gentiles from Israel and create a new religion, with new doctrines and traditions, and to exclude the need to obey God’s laws for salvation. This concept has no support in the Old Testament nor in the words of Jesus in the Gospels. To claim that humans cannot contribute to their salvation encourages sin and suggests that God seeks to save the disobedient, which is why many Gentiles cling to this false doctrine. What Jesus really taught is that it is the Father who sends us to the Son, and the Father only sends those who follow the laws given to the nation He set apart for Himself with a perpetual covenant. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to minister to him, and to be his servant… and holds fast my covenant, I will bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
If an individual said in church: “I do not deserve to be saved!”, but sought to faithfully obey the laws that God gave to His prophets and Jesus, he would be an excellent example of humility, worthy of being imitated. But in practice, the majority in the church often repeat this phrase, while obeying God’s Law is the last thing on their minds. In their understanding distorted by the serpent, they believe that, precisely because they do not deserve it, they can ignore God’s laws and still reach heaven. Many in the churches do not realize that Jesus never created a religion. Prophecies in various passages indicated that the Messiah would come from the lineage of Seth, Abraham, Jacob, and David, and thus Jesus was born, lived, and died as a Jew, and His followers were all Jews. The idea of founding a new religion intended for the Gentiles did not come from Jesus, but from the enemy, who conceived a faith separate from God’s people to divert the Gentiles from the true plan of salvation. What Jesus taught is that the Father sends us to the Son, and the Father only sends those who follow the laws He gave to His people. God observes us and, upon seeing our obedience, even in the face of opposition, He unites us with Israel and delivers us to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. This plan of salvation makes sense, because it is the true one. | “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” John 17:6.
If God determines that someone deserves salvation, who are we to question it? At the final judgment, will we dare to say that He made a mistake? That no one there deserved it? God has already taken Enoch, Moses, and Elijah to heaven because He thought they deserved it – did He make a mistake? Since Abraham was tested and approved by God, his people became God’s chosen nation on earth, confirmed by an eternal covenant and sealed by the sign of circumcision. This is not a topic for debate; it is a consummated and unchangeable fact, as God reminded Israel several times throughout history that the covenant is perpetual. The Gentile who desires blessings, deliverance, and salvation must join this people, for it is only through Israel that one has access to the Messiah. We join Israel by following the same laws that the Father gave to Israel. The Father is pleased with our faith, humility, and courage in the face of adversity and leads us to Jesus. When we die, each soul goes to the final destination it has chosen. The prophets and Jesus taught that we must obey the Father to inherit eternal life. Many claim, however, that disobeying God’s laws does not affect salvation. Do not accept this, as there will be no other chance after death. What needs to be done to ascend with Christ must be done now, while we are alive. The Gentile seeking salvation in Jesus must follow the same laws that the Lord gave to the nation He set apart for Himself with an eternal covenant. The Father sees the faith and courage of this Gentile, despite the challenges. He pours out His love on him, unites him with Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. Rahab and Ruth, two well-known figures in the Scriptures, were not part of God’s people by birth. Like all Gentiles, they had to accept the God of Israel and obey His laws to receive the blessings and protection promised to Abraham in the eternal covenant. Nowhere in the Gospels did Jesus indicate that this process of including Gentiles in God’s people changed with His coming. Jesus did not create a new religion for the Gentiles. The Gentile who wishes to be saved by Christ must follow the same laws that the Father gave to the chosen nation for His honor and glory. The Bible is full of promises from God to those who obey Him. There is no promise for those who ignore His laws. However, if the doctrine of “unmerited favor” were true, then God’s promises would not be for those who seek to obey Him, but for those who do not earn it: liars, slanderers, violent people, and all who do not strive to deserve God’s goodness and salvation in Christ. In reality, many Gentiles in the church ignore God’s Law based on this false doctrine. What they do not realize is that they are being deceived by the serpent and tested by God, just as happened with Adam and Eve in Eden and with the Jews in the desert. Obey while you are alive. | God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. Deut 8:2
