To disobey God’s Law is to rebel against Him. The devil started this rebellion in heaven, passed through Eden, through the Jews, and now has reached us, the Gentiles. Many teach that if we believe in Christ, disobeying the Law does not affect salvation, but Jesus never taught such a thing. This lie is part of the devil’s plan against the Gentiles, begun right after Jesus returned to the Father. People forget that the serpent is determined to convince the entire human race of the same lie he used with Adam and Eve: that nothing bad happens to those who disobey God. Salvation is individual. No Gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “Ah! My people! Those who guide you mislead you and destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)
Feelings have never been a thermometer to measure whether God is pleased with us. Feeling happy or joyful does not mean divine approval, just as sadness does not mean rejection. What defines our position before God is obedience. Sad or joyful, we are right with the Lord when we honor Him through obedience. God made an eternal covenant with His people, and we Gentiles are not part of this covenant because of emotions, but because of obedience. When the Father sees this faithfulness, He pours out His love, unites us to Israel, and sends us to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
Many in the church like the idea of having an intimate relationship with God, hearing His voice clearly, being guided by Him, receiving His blessings, and, in the end, ascending with Jesus. These are great desires, but they believe they can achieve all this without obeying the laws that God gave for His people to follow. Unfortunately, things do not work that way. Unless someone seeks to faithfully follow all the Lord’s laws in the Old Testament, God does not send him to the Son, for He does not consider him part of His people. All the apostles and disciples of Jesus were faithful to God’s laws, and we Gentiles are neither superior nor inferior to them. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey God’s Law! | “The Lord guides with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands.” (Psalm 25:10)
On Judgment Day, millions of Christians will be horrified when they see that they were deceived by their leaders with the false doctrine of “unmerited favor.” They will accuse the leadership, but it will be too late, because each one chose to follow men instead of following what God had already revealed. In none of the four gospels did Jesus teach a plan of salvation for Gentiles separate from obedience to the Father’s Law. There is only one plan, and for more than three years the Savior trained apostles and disciples to obey God in everything. Jews or Gentiles, we must live as they did, keeping the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual: obey while you are alive. | “The assembly is to have the same laws for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance.” (Numbers 15:15)
The prophets of the Old Testament, such as Abraham, Moses, Jeremiah, and Isaiah, were the human beings with whom God communicated most directly. Through these faithful servants, He gave us instructions on how to be blessed and forgiven of our sins by the sacrifice of the Lamb. However, churches teach that the laws God gave through these messengers are no longer valid, and claim that those who insist on obeying these laws have rejected Christ and will go to hell. Jesus never taught such a thing, but people prefer to live in the illusion that, even openly disobeying God, they will be received in heaven with smiles and hugs. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey while you are alive. | “Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
We will never see a leader teach that we must disobey God’s Law to be saved. The devil is evil, but he is not stupid. The serpent’s cunning consists in speaking with contradictory subtlety. On one hand, leaders say that God’s Law is holy, just, and good, even quoting the Psalms. On the other, they defend the doctrine of “unmerited favor” and say that obeying God’s laws will not help in salvation. Worse still, they teach that insisting on this means ”denying Christ” and that such a person will be condemned. Jesus never taught this and never authorized any man after Him to preach such absurdity. What Jesus taught is that no one comes to Him unless the Father sends him, and the Father will never send declared disobedient people to the Son. | “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them; and I will raise them up at the last day.” (John 6:44)
None of the prophets of the Old Testament, nor Jesus in the Gospels, taught that Gentiles have their own path to salvation. The idea accepted in many churches, that Gentiles are exempt from following the laws of Israel, besides being incorrect, is illogical. Why would God treat Gentiles differently from Israel? Do we Gentiles have some incapacity that prevents us from being faithful to God, as so many servants were before and during the coming of Christ? Are we inferior to Jesus’ family, friends, and apostles? Our salvation comes by following the same laws that the Father gave to the chosen nation for His honor and glory. The Father sees our dedication, unites us to Israel, and sends us to Jesus. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense, because it is true. | “The assembly is to have the same laws for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance.” (Numbers 15:15)
When Joshua replaced Moses, God did not give him a new doctrine or a different plan of salvation. He simply said: “Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may be successful wherever you go.” Success before God has always depended on one thing: obedience to His Law. Today, the Gentile who wishes to be saved needs to follow the same advice. The Father has not changed, His laws have not changed, and the way remains narrow. Jesus and His apostles lived obeying the Father’s commandments, and so must we. The Father observes our faithfulness, unites us to Israel, and sends us to the Son. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense, because it is the true one. | “You have laid down your precepts, that we should fully obey them.” (Psalm 119:4)
Why risk our eternal destiny by trusting in a plan of salvation with no basis in the words of Jesus? In none of the four gospels did our Savior say that those who obey His Father’s Law will lose salvation, as so many churches claim today. This lie is part of the devil’s campaign against the Gentiles, begun after Christ’s ascension. The Father only sends to the Son those who obey the commandments He gave us through the prophets of the Old Testament and through Jesus Himself in the gospels. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)
Everything God promises that is good in the Scriptures is only for His obedient children: His material and spiritual blessings, healings, deliverances, daily protection, sure guidance, true peace, and above all, the eternal blessings in the world to come. The Lord was clear: all these belong only to those who seek to obey all the commandments revealed by the prophets who came before the Messiah and by the Messiah Himself. None of this is automatic, and none of this is given to the rebellious. The Father has always honored and will continue to honor only those who honor Him through obedience. Salvation is individual. Obey while you are still alive. | “If only they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, so that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!” (Deuteronomy 5:29)
