Every primary doctrine — doctrines that pertain to the salvation of souls — must be filtered through the words of Jesus to be true. What is being preached to gentiles about salvation is not based on the Gospels and is therefore false. Jesus never taught that His Father’s Law was canceled or altered to facilitate the salvation of gentiles. For centuries, our Jewish brothers who lived until Jesus followed God’s laws in the Old Testament, including Jesus Himself, His relatives, friends, apostles, and disciples. There is nothing wrong with us; if they can do it, we can too. And not only can we, but we must, if we want the Father to send us to the Son. | “I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” John 17:6.
Some people do not like the word “religion” and claim that Jesus did not have one, but this is denying the facts. Jesus was born, lived, and died as a Jew, preaching the true faith of Israel and revealing the Father, the God of Israel. What He did not do was found a new religion for gentiles, with new doctrines and traditions, nor teach a salvation without obedience to His Father’s laws. He taught that it is the Father who leads us to the Son, but the Father does not lead rebels to the Son. He leads only those who follow the laws He gave to the chosen nation in an eternal covenant. God does not send to the Son those who consciously disobey His laws. This plan of salvation makes sense because it is true. | “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and put it into practice.” Luke 8:21.
The sacrifice of the Lamb of God for sins and the obligation of God’s children to seek faithful obedience to His holy and eternal Law were never a matter of one eliminating the other. Long before the cross, God’s Israel followed His laws and benefited from the sacrificial system for the forgiveness of sins. This divine process did not change with the cross. The Father did not send His only Son to save rebels who consciously ignore His Law, but to save the faithful who seek with all their heart to obey all the commandments given to Israel, the nation that God set apart for Himself with the eternal covenant of circumcision. Salvation lies in living exactly as Jesus’ original apostles lived. Jesus was with them all the time, teaching them how to live in a way that pleased the Father and achieved salvation. They believed that Jesus was the Messiah sent by the Father and obeyed all the laws that God gave to Israel: they kept the Sabbath, were circumcised, wore the tzitzit, did not consume unclean foods, and maintained their beards. If we want to live like the apostles and be saved like them, we must follow these same commandments. At no point in the Gospels did Jesus teach that gentiles could live differently. Obey while you are alive. | “I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” John 17:6.
Understanding how gentiles are saved is of utmost importance, as it involves the eternal destiny of millions of souls. What many are not taught is that the salvation of gentiles did not begin with the coming of Christ. In the days of Abraham and other patriarchs, two thousand years before the Messiah’s arrival, there was already a plan of salvation for gentiles, and if there had been any change, Jesus would have informed us. However, Jesus never mentioned any change, because there was none. The gentile is saved by following the same laws given to the nation that God set apart for Himself with a perpetual covenant. The Father integrates him into Israel and sends him to the Son for salvation. This plan of salvation makes sense because it is true. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to minister to him, and to love the name of the Lord… and holds fast my covenant, I will bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7).
When the soul decides, with all its strength, to faithfully obey God’s laws, as delivered to the prophets in the Old Testament, even if the whole world opposes it, it enters a sealed environment, reserved only for it and the Almighty. In this intimate place, the Lord will instruct, strengthen, and send it into the world with His blessings and continuous protection. God becomes the true Father of those who are faithful to Him and sends them to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. Do not be deceived by the serpent’s lies. There is no other way to approach the Father and the Son except through obedience to His holy and eternal Law. | “Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!” Deuteronomy 5:29.
A detail that many overlook is Jesus’ concern to speak only what His Father commanded Him. Something the Father never commanded Jesus to teach was the doctrine of “unmerited favor”. So, how can millions of gentiles justify this doctrine if it has no basis in Jesus’ words? Is it not clear that this false doctrine was created by the serpent, to achieve its usual goal: to make souls disobey God’s Law? Salvation is individual. No gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus and His apostles themselves followed. Do not follow the majority because they are many. Obey while you are alive. | “You have laid down your precepts, that we should fully obey them.” Psalm 119:4.
Jesus mentioned specific sins, such as adultery, murder, and hatred, in the Sermon on the Mount to show that He did not come to abolish the laws that His Father gave to the prophets of Israel. If the holy and eternal Law could simply be canceled, Jesus would not have needed to come, for sin would not exist. Jesus came and died for the sins of those who truly love God and prove this love by striving with effort and faith to follow all the laws He gave to the chosen nation with the eternal covenant of circumcision. For the gentile who consciously rejects these laws, there is no forgiveness or salvation. We are at the end, obey while you are alive! | “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and put it into practice.” Luke 8:21.
Jesus made it clear that He spoke nothing of His own accord, but only what the Father commanded Him to say. In none of the Gospels did Jesus tell us that obeying the commandments makes no difference for people’s salvation, as the adherents of the doctrine of “unmerited favor” teach. The sympathizers of this false doctrine like it because, even though false, it deceives them with the idea that they can indeed continue in open disobedience to God’s laws and still benefit from the blood of Christ. This will not happen! Salvation is individual. No gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus and His apostles themselves followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. Obey while you are alive. | “Blessed are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and obey it.” Luke 11:28.
Those obsessed with the doctrine of “unmerited favor” never mention the words of Jesus in the Gospels, and this is not by chance: this teaching does not come from Christ. The serpent fabricated this belief right after Jesus’ ascension, with the same purpose as always: to convince us to disobey God. The idea that God saves those who do not deserve it, but rejects those who seek to obey to please Him, is clearly demonic, as if God’s commandments were given to be ignored. Yet, millions accept this doctrine. Jesus taught us that the Father sends us to the Son, and the Father only sends those who follow the laws given to the nation He set apart with an eternal covenant, the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. | “I have revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world.
