God knows that no human creature can perfectly obey His laws without ever sinning. For this reason, from Eden, through Sinai, and ending at Calvary, the atoning sacrifice is part of the plan to restore humanity. The defense of the followers of the doctrine of “unmerited favor,” that it is not necessary to obey the laws of the Old Testament because no one can, is completely unfounded. The blood of the Lamb is reserved for those who, even though they sincerely seek to follow God’s laws, fall and need forgiveness. Not a drop of Christ’s blood will apply to those who blatantly ignore the holy and eternal Law of the Lord. | “You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
The true heretic is not the one who ignores the teachings of church leaders, but rather the one who ignores the teachings of Christ in the four gospels. Heresy is not disagreeing with human tradition; heresy is calling “gospel” what Jesus never taught. Nothing in the words of Christ supports the false doctrine of ”unmerited favor,” which so many leaders love and teach. But Jesus did not leave us in the dark; He trained apostles and disciples to obey the Father strictly, and this standard path applies to both Jews and gentiles. All of them kept the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, the use of tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual; obey while you are alive. | “Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 9)
One detail that many overlook is Jesus’ concern to speak only what His Father commanded Him. Something the Father never commanded Jesus to teach was the doctrine of “unmerited favor.” So how can millions of gentiles justify this doctrine if it has no basis in the words of Jesus? Is it not clear that this false doctrine was created by the serpent to achieve his usual goal: to make souls disobey the Law of God? Salvation is individual. No gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority because they are many. Those obsessed with the doctrine of “unmerited favor” never mention the words of Jesus in the Gospels, and this is no accident: this teaching does not come from Christ. The serpent fabricated this belief right after the ascension of Jesus, with the same purpose as always: to convince us to disobey God. The idea that God saves those who do not deserve it but rejects those who seek to obey to please Him is clearly demonic, as if the commandments of God were given to be ignored. Even so, millions accept this doctrine. Jesus taught us that the Father sends us to the Son, and the Father only sends those who follow the laws given to the nation He set apart with an everlasting covenant, the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. | “I have revealed your name to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me; and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” (John 17:6)
Only God, the Author of the holy and eternal Law, can make any change to it. Even Jesus, being one with the Father, affirmed that He only spoke and did what the Father commanded Him. The gentile who refuses to obey the laws that God gave to His people in the Old Testament, based on interpretations of what someone, inside or outside the Bible, wrote, will face a bitter surprise at the final judgment. There are no prophecies, neither in the Old Testament nor in the words of Jesus, warning that God would give a man, after Jesus, the power to alter His laws. This is not written. Salvation is individual. No gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | “Do not add to or subtract from the commandments I give you. Simply obey the commandments of the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)
Part of Satan’s attack on the gentiles is to promote the idea that the God of the Old Testament was severe and vengeful, but that with the coming of Jesus, He became more understanding, accepting what He previously did not tolerate. This view has no basis in the prophets or in the Gospels. The goodness and mercy of God have never changed. He is good to those who obey Him, but He is a consuming fire to those who know the laws He gave us in the Old Testament and blatantly disobey them. To say or sing that “God is so good” while ignoring His commandments is a serious offense. Obey and receive His blessings! | “The Lord guides with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his requirements.” (Psalm 25:10)
Many leaders teach that the Blood of the Lamb and the Law of God are enemies, but neither the prophets who came before the Messiah nor the Messiah Himself taught this. No one is saved by the Law, but neither is anyone purified by the Blood if they refuse to obey the powerful and eternal Law of the Father. If the Blood were applied indiscriminately, the whole world would inherit eternal life. God has always had a small flock, Jews and gentiles, whom He sends to the Son, for they seek to please Him through obedience. Jesus and His disciples are the example for all of us. They kept the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual. The plan of salvation taught to us gentiles is a human creation. It does not align at all with the Old Testament, much less with the words of Jesus in the gospels, and therefore is false from beginning to end. At no time did the prophets or Jesus teach that disobeying the laws God gave to Israel does not affect forgiveness and salvation. Gentiles who wish to be saved by Jesus need to follow the same laws that the Father gave to the nation set apart by God with an everlasting covenant, of which Jesus was a part. The Father sees our faith and courage, despite great opposition. He then unites us with Israel and sends us to the Son. This is the plan of salvation that makes sense because it is true. | “This is the will of God: that I should lose none of those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.” (John 6:39)
When Jesus said that He did not come to destroy but to fulfill the Law of God, He made it clear that, contrary to what some imagined about the Messiah, even He would fulfill the laws of God, like all Jews. However, the promoters of the doctrine of “unmerited favor” like to attribute words to Christ that He never said, suggesting in their teachings that He would fulfill the laws of the Father in place of the gentiles, exempting them from the commandments of God in the Old Testament. Jesus never taught anything so absurd. What Jesus taught is that no one comes to the Son unless the Father sends them, but the Father does not send declared disobedient ones to Jesus; He sends those who seek to follow His laws, given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve him, thus becoming his servant… and who holds fast to my covenant, I will also bring him to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
When we hear what we are taught about salvation, we must take the stance of accepting only what aligns with the words of Jesus; otherwise, we will be deceived. Christ did not change at all the plan of salvation that has existed since the days of the patriarchs. Do not accept the lie just because the majority accepts it. The gentile who seeks salvation in Jesus must follow the same laws that the Lord gave to the nation He set apart for Himself with an everlasting covenant. The Father sees the faith and courage of this gentile, despite the challenges. He pours out His love upon him, unites him with Israel, and leads him to the Son for forgiveness and salvation.
