Those obsessed with the doctrine of “unmerited favor” never mention the words of Jesus in the Gospels, and this is no accident: this teaching does not come from Christ. The serpent fabricated this belief right after the ascension of Jesus, with the same purpose as always: to convince us to disobey God. The idea that God saves those who do not deserve it but rejects those who seek to obey to please Him is clearly demonic, as if the commandments of God were given to be ignored. Even so, millions accept this doctrine. Jesus taught us that the Father sends us to the Son, and the Father only sends those who follow the laws given to the nation He set apart with an everlasting covenant, the same laws that Jesus and His apostles followed. | “I have revealed your name to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me; and they have obeyed your word [the Old Testament].” (John 17:6)
