The Lamb is the Savior, not the Law. But the Law is the standard by which God separates those who humble themselves and surrender from those who exalt themselves and resist. The Blood washes away sins, but it was not given to declare innocent those who insist on ignoring the Father’s commands. If it were automatic, there would be no judgment or separation. In every age, the Father sends to the Son those who please Him, and He is pleased with the Jew or gentile who seeks to live in faithfulness to His powerful and eternal Law. All the disciples, taught by Christ Himself, lived in obedience. They kept the Sabbath, circumcision, the forbidden meats, the tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted by the Father.” (John 6:65)
