Every night, when going to bed, the good and faithful servant rests with a peaceful heart. He gives thanks for another day lived under the protection of the Most High, but his greatest joy is knowing he is one day closer to heaven. His longing is not for earthly things, but for the presence of God. This peace comes from obedience, from the certainty of having done everything the Creator commanded. He lives as the apostles and disciples lived, faithfully obeying all the commandments revealed by God in the Old Testament and by Jesus in the four Gospels. The faithful servant does not fear the future, for he meditates on the Law of the Lord day and night. Salvation is individual.
