When the rich young man asked Jesus what he should do to inherit eternal life, the Master did not answer: “Nothing! Just believe that I exist.” Of course not! This is the lie that has spread through the churches, a gospel without obedience, without effort, and without commitment. Jesus was direct: ”Keep the commandments.” Salvation was never for those who merely believe, but for those who live in obedience to the Father’s laws revealed by the prophets in the Old Testament and reaffirmed by the Son in the four Gospels. The Father sees who obeys, and only these are sent to the Son for blessings and salvation. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | “You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.” (Psalm 119:4)
