The prophecies of the Old Testament confirm that Jesus is the Messiah, and it was through them, along with signs and miracles, that many chose to follow Christ. However, there are no prophecies about anyone coming after Christ with new teachings about salvation for the Gentiles, whether that person is inside or outside the Bible. Only the teachings of Jesus about salvation are sufficient, and He was clear in saying that it is the Father who sends souls to the Son. There is no basis in the writings of the prophets or in the four Gospels to believe that the Father sends people who live in open disobedience to the commandments given in the Old Testament, the same commandments that Jesus and His apostles followed. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve him, thus becoming his servant… and who holds fast to my covenant, I will also bring to my holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
