A heretic is not someone who rejects the teachings of leaders, but someone who abandons the standard of Jesus. There are people who fiercely defend what they heard in sermons, but treat the four gospels as something disposable. This is to invert the Kingdom: Jesus is the Master, and any teaching that does not align with what He said is serpent’s poison. The Holy Spirit does not lead us to excuses for disobedience; He brings us back to what Christ taught and to what His apostles and disciples practiced. Therefore, whether Jew or gentile, whoever wants to belong to Jesus must live as they did: keeping the Sabbath, circumcision, forbidden meats, tzitzits, the beard, and all the other statutes of the Lord. Salvation is individual. Do not follow the majority; obey while you are alive. | “Anyone who goes too far and does not remain in the teachings of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in the teachings of Christ has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 9)
