Adam and Eve had the choice to follow God’s voice and live, but they chose death, not the first death, which we all face, but eternal death, the definitive separation from the Creator, the source of life. God, however, devised a plan of salvation so that all of us, descendants of Adam, would have the same right of choice they had in Eden: to obey or disobey. We are saved when we obey the commandments God gave us through the prophets in the Old Testament and through Jesus in the four Gospels. The Father sees our dedication, recognizes our faithfulness, and sends us to the Son for forgiveness and salvation. This plan of salvation makes sense because it is the true one. Obey while you are alive. | “Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)
