Many leaders teach that when we accept Jesus as Savior, we Gentiles become part of the chosen people, but, unlike the Jews, we can ignore God’s holy Law revealed in the Old Testament. However, this idea has no basis whatsoever in the words of the prophets or in the teachings of Jesus. At no time did the Lord declare that obedience would cease to be necessary. The blood of the Lamb does not cover the rebellious, but only those who seek to obey the entire Law of the Lord. This is how the apostles and disciples lived, in full harmony with the Father’s Law and the example of the Son. Do not follow the majority, obey while you are alive. | The foreigner who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who holds firmly to My covenant, I will also bring to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
