According to history, after the ascension of Christ, several apostles obeyed the great commission and took the gospel taught by Jesus to the Gentile nations. Thomas went to India, Barnabas and Paul to Macedonia, Greece, and Rome, Andrew to Russia and Scandinavia, Matthias to Ethiopia, and the good news spread. The message they were to preach was the same taught by Jesus, focused on the Father: believe and obey. Believe that Jesus came from the Father and obey the Father’s laws. The Holy Spirit would remind them of what Jesus taught. Jesus did not found a new religion for the Gentiles. No Gentile will ascend without seeking to follow the same laws given to Israel, laws that Jesus Himself and His apostles followed. Do not follow the majority just because they are many. | The Gentile who joins himself to the Lord, to serve Him, thus becoming His servant… and who remains firm in My covenant, I will also bring him to My holy mountain. (Isaiah 56:6-7)
