When Elijah faced the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, the people of Israel were divided, wavering between the true God and false gods. The prophet challenged them: “How long will you waver between two opinions?” Most churches are like this. Many claim to worship the God of the Scriptures, but blatantly ignore His laws given to the prophets of the Old Testament and to Jesus in the four gospels. They prefer doctrines that arose years after Christ’s ascension. They do not obey God’s commandments as the apostles and disciples of Jesus did, but choose rebellion. Do not follow the majority , follow Jesus. Obey while you are alive. | “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God [Old Testament] and put it into practice.” (Luke 8:21)
